Very let down with service

Just paid the month of November and top of that one month deposit still left immediately My son cries every time he does Kumon Don t like the deposit system Should return as I lost two months money altogether for no reason With my daughter was given same work which she did at the beginning of her Kumon as soon as I decided to take her away for her 11 plus Kumon I have also didn t care about the deposit too took her away Registration fee is higher than other Kumon centre in Wood Green north London too

Very bad way of tutoring and my child hates going there

My son has been going to Kumon for a year now but he neither improved in his maths nor English The teacher focuses on repetition 1 exercise until 100 and more rather than training to improve their arithmetic skills The teacher is so stuck up she couldn t even want to listen to comments based on our observations So defensive and illogical on her arguments Her main argument is This is Kumon s way of teaching as if it is some sort of dogma The worksheets are so repetitive to the point that your kid will hate to even have a look at it

i hate it here

as a student at kumon for around 5-6 years I HATE IT these last couple of years with kumon have been the most mentally draining experiences ever i dont have time for school work my mental health has declined drastically because of the expectations it has of my maths ability and the pressure to complete daily tasks AND my school work AND have a personal life are too much for me to handle im tired im mentally drained and im sick of it

Not very supportive and waste of money

Not very supportive just gives you more book work during the week then send it back to kumon to mark my son finds the workbooks overwhelming with too many pages and very repetitive Not enjoyable When going to the kumon the centre the teachers or assistant provide very brief feedback and are always rushing there is no patience to talk My son also finds it very distracting with other children around and does not focus on the workbooks There is hardly any further support apart from workbooks to go through with no teacher to assist It is very expensive 125 00 a month Its better to get private tuition once a week instead

Rude and rubbish

Rude and rubbish I signed up for a free trial with a view to joining the tutorial centre I was called back by the tutor from the Cheetham Hill tutorial centre She advised me that a free trial doesn t mean a free trial which is a little concerning seeing as these people are supposedly teaching children the English language They may want to reconsider the use of the word free If she hadn t been so rude about it I may not have posted on here If the rest of the tutors are the same calibre as this women then God help the children that are being taught Also ask them about their teaching methods before you pay you ll do a better job of enhancing your children s education through a free you tube channel Avoid

Over worked unhappy children

They over work the children apply to much pressure and as a child psychologist I appreciate the importance of allowing children time to rest in their school holidays to refresh and recuperate their bodies and minds Kumon expects them to carry on working even over the Xmas period They don t have children s best interests at heart just the money they earn for their pockets

Absolute waste of time and money

Started tuition at Kumon next to the Tooting Leisure Centre to prepare for A-level mathematics and the teacher I was assigned just gave me a bunch of workbooks with year 5 maths and told me to finish it so many workbooks and such a huge waste of time Honestly I don t think she even knew A-level maths herself stopped going after the first lesson and went to a local small tutoring centre that did so much better Also this experience was back in 2015

Complaint

My son joint Kumon Weybridge on 24th November 2023 I wanted to reach out to you expressing my disappointment with regards to your cancellation policy I gave a month s written notice to the centre head on 7th December as though I do like the Kumon concept I felt that it was not a right fir for my son I have not been told that I will be charged until 31st January which to me is unacceptable I was told a months notice was required to discontinue at any point in time but now I am told that my deposit will not be refunded back to me even though I have a 30-day notice on 7th December I would appreciate if you could investigate this matter as it seems very unreasonable

Absolutely waste of time my son is year

Absolutely waste of time my son is year 6 and the work he was getting is like year 2 work they only went for three months then I told Arti we don t want to continue and I paid till January 30 January was last day we went there and she keep threatening me to taking me to court that I didn t pay her for February work sheets which my kids never bring very very rude Arti Mehta literally threatened me taking me to court really that s was big big shock for us like we are criminals not sending kids to tuition yes verbal notice was given as well I didn t know about written notice but Kumon keep threatening me to taking to court

The illegal practices of the Kumon

The illegal practices of the Kumon Centre in Bradley Stoke Bristol are soon to be exposed Avoid at all costs this instructor is bringing down the Kumon brand I have emailed several people within Kumon it seems they are not bothered that this instructor is operating illegally
