Early days at Kumon Bishop s STortford

Early days at Kumon Bishop s STortford We only been there 1 week and my daughter is in year 8 Her Math ability is above average and I thought it would be a good idea to keep her ahead of the game and I still confidence and discipline that Kumon instils with its course design I will not question the level she has been started at after a 1 2 hour assessment as I can feel we are in good hands Kumon is like keeping fit and going to the gym regularly It is a long term thing and not a quick fix Even if for some reason we do not stay the full course I can honestly say I like what Kumon is all about Thanks Nicola at Bishop s STortford Kumon

Escape from Digital Fantastic Kumon People and Programme

I think it is very shortsighted to review this based on how well your child accelerates academically I have reviewed this on the people who genuinely care and the programme that has been created which is evidently fantastic Furthermore in a world of digital this is a fantastic way for your child to escape and be in the moment for a few minutes each day It is early days for us just week 1 Although the academic benefits may well be immeasurable in the long term I am already my seeing a dedication self organisation and motivational improvement from my children Jenny in Fulford York has been exceptional Thank you

Gravesend Kumon Centre has been amazing

Gravesend Kumon Centre has been amazing and I have seen fantastic progress of my daughter who enrolled during the pandemic Even digitally my daughter has remained focused and engaged and the results have shown in school This is all credit to the team at the Gravesend centre who have encouraged and guided the progress They have managed to identify key areas of weakness and improve on those it has been a very good experience overall

My children started Kumon at the

My children started Kumon at the beginning of the first Lockdown as I thought this would help them with their maths skills Sarah and her team were fantastic They were there to help support and encourage my children when doing their work Sarah was available all the time for me to ask questions or to give extra support when needed The children have gained more confidence in their maths work during their time at Kumon

Kumon is a specific style of learning

Kumon is a specific style of learning and I can now see how this repetition is working My son is super speedy in maths confident with his numbers and can apply his independent learning skills in school After the first few weeks I was unsure as the papers seemed easy and repetitive however nearly a year later it s clear how they have given my son such confidence I can also see how it is getting him ready for exams by working on his own comprehension questions etc I would highly recommend but don t expect a normal tutor experience as this is a way of learning and if you stick with it then you see the rewards

Highly recommended

I am not going to lie - this is hard work as your child has to do homework every day - they learn by repetition You have to mark it but Kumon provides very clever books so there s no need for us parents to think - we just check their answers against the ones in the book My daughter wasn t too keen on it when she first started but we have been doing it three years now and she has progressed so much Her maths and English skills have improved not to mention her confidence She has become more organised Kumon is part of her after school routine and she does it straight after coming back home without complaining Joining Kumon was the best decision ever and I just wish we started earlier

My experience with Kumon

I ve been doing the Kumon Mathematics programme for about 6 years now Back then there was nothing special about my arithmatic abilities but in Year 7 my mathematics teacher asked whether I would want to do my GCSE s for maths 4 years early Sadly I couldn t because of complications with having a completely different timetable compared to my peers Kumon teaches you the basics so well you find questions like solving quadratick equations easy without needing to spend hours in a classroom or watching YouTube videos on the subject At the start getting the motivation to spend 15min-half an hour of work on top of school is very hard But looking back I m so thankfull of my parents pushing me to do Kumon

I recently enrolled my 7 year old on

I recently enrolled my 7 year old on the Kumon Maths programme which requires him to study between 20-30mins everyday It seems to be working well as of yet he s doing the work on his tablet which was the option I went for partially because you don t have to mark the work everyday - which was a bit of a put off for me but honestly within just a month I can seen the speed in his mental maths and he seems to to enjoying doing it on this Kumon app It s still early days but I am hopeful so far in that he s studying daily The digital study can be a bit costly as you need to have your own device but I think most kids these days do have some sort of access to computers and tablets

Simply amazing - Wolverhampton West

Simply amazing Cannot recommend Kumon and Graham and his team Wolverhampton West enough Both of my daughters study the English and maths programme their progress is phenomenal I wish schools would adopt this method of learning so grateful I found the programme Thank you for providing my children with the confidence to attack their learning head on

Kumon does offer a good tried and

Kumon does offer a good tried and tested method of learning With everything in life practice makes perfect and with Kumon you get plenty of practice All three of my children have been attending the Battersea centre for several years now and we have really seen the difference it has made in their academic studies at school My oldest is 14 and has recently completed the Kumon English course which has given him a head start in what to expect at GCSE and beyond All my children s maths has also improved leaps and bounds They have become confident in their studies at school - yes it s hard work but if done with consistency it builds resilience to take on new challenges Thank you to Kumon and all the team that have been involved in overseeing my children
