A pleasant stay for 4 nights

We stayed on a caravan pitch that was well appointed with both fresh and grey water disposal facilities and EHU The pitch was a flat gravelled area of generous proportion The toilet block was warm clean and inviting Whilst we didn t use the recreational facilities they look clean tidy and well maintained Reception was efficiently maned and the staff very polite The only problem were the number of e scooters and an e bike that were being riden around the site roads sometimes at speed There is a site rule that prohibits the use of this type of scooter but when I asked about the use of them I was told it is difficult to police You either have rules or you don t Apart from that it was a pleasant stay
C

A good choice of activities available

A good choice of activities available but the lake and swimming pool was far too small for the amount of guests The men s bathroom facilities had big queues in the morning but all the facilities were modern and clean

Site and shower block were excellent

Site and shower block were excellent the staff had no information on the local bus services we were told to go online and look which is ok if you know the area and the bus numbers The site doesn t have a little shop to buy the basics ie bread and milk you have to walk to the local co-op but first get over the busy A5 which is a death defying act in itself So come on L2S put a small shop in the grounds

Love2stay

Lovely site large pitches loads of space Toilet Showers were spotless The only gripe I ve got is that they are advertising a fishing lake so I packed my stuff and set off only to be told its closed for fishing as there is a health and safety issue If I d have known that I would have booked somewhere else It should be taken off there website and not advertised

Sadly we were disappointed with the

Sadly we were disappointed with the Twilight Trail this year We started bringing our grandson last year and wanted to make it a tradition Last year we thought it was fabulous However this year it seemed that not as much effort was put in No music some of the displays not working no activity tents no bubbles in the tunnel in fact it took us no longer than ten minutes to walk around Thank goodness the pit fire and marshmallows were still there I could hear other families with the same opinion Please make next year as spectacular as years before we are local and love supporting our local businesses

Restaurant closes early

Love2stay is an amazing site and we have stayed here a number of times despite living close by However the reason for the 3 star review is down to the restaurant We had friends also staying on site and could only get back to the site for 7 pm I rang reception and asked opening times I was told last order for food was 7 30 pm We arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm placed an order for drinks We were told last order was 7 20 pm By now it was 7 15 pm We got our order in by the skin of our teeth We were then told on numerous occasions they were closing We got talking to some other caravanners and it would have been nice to chat Closing so early on a site is very surprising

Lovely stay pristine

Wasn t sure at first as it was all very new and regimented However it really grew on me The pitches are brilliant with water and waste the facilities amazing The entertainment is great but not tacky The only couple of downsides were the wifi was not very good considering the price and although the wash blocks were central if you re pitched up the top it s quite a walk especially for the loo Also the waste recycling was opposite reception at the bottom and that s quite a distance to carry rubbish - you need to take it in the car Otherwise is was fabulous and we had a lovely time so will return

We absolutely LOVE everything about

We absolutely LOVE everything about Love2stay but and it s a huge but THE FOOD and drink For such a beautiful and massive investment the food is below average at best It s a massive shame that each time we have visited over the last 3 years 8-10 times they haven t managed to get there food right it s cheap basic bought in frustratingly below average Why not partner with a local independent in Shrewsbury to take over your kitchens and offer an all day fresh menu that offers the standard of food that represents the clientele that you attract rent the space and at the same time offer brunch fresh seasonalLunches and if you re going to do street food visit Digbeth Dining Club or some other proper SF gig to get ideas As for the drinks Milkshakes CocktailsGin Tonic menuProper artisan coffee that isn t over roasted and bitter Just to reiterate service venue facilities staff are all awesome but please please please do something about the FOOD and drinks

We had a great stay - with a few niggles

We had a great stay Our Woodland lodge was great spacious clean and with a really good outside area with a hot tub Most of the activities were really enjoyable and my kids loved them There were a few niggles The food is terrible the selection is poor and generally unhealthy vegetarian options limited and the coffee well tasted like warm water and milk In an area that s so well known for food it feels like a missed opportunity The lodge was incredibly hot even with the windows open at night They really needs fans or a cooling system Finally the assault course should come with a warning I did it with my two kids I like to think I m fairly fit currently training for a half marathon and do strength training It was so hard and parts of it are really high and seem dangerous It s a full on army style assault course and this should be explained in the booking information My youngest aged 8 ended up crying and dropping out He was terrified My older one virtually gave up as well
