Representative good at understanding the customer issue and tries to help customer to resolve the issue but the lycamobile polices are not clear and their customer service system is not that good

SIM blocked due to agent s mistake - Worst customer service

Worst customer service I have ever seen Talk to 10 different customer service person you will get 10 different answers They will create 10 different tickets on top of existing ticket No body trying to resolve the issue nor they transfer call to the supervisor Here is my story and the issue is not yet resolved after 6 days at the time of writing this review On 08 08 2023 I dialed customer service for a SIM swap in order to get 5G support The SIM swap got failed due to SIM was expired There was no expiry date written in the pack and I was unaware of any expiry date The agent should have checked the validity before swapping Due to this my existing SIM and number got blocked No outgoing incoming calls or messages She created a ticket to unblock the SIM and I was told that would be done within 1 hour After 3 hours or so I still have the SIM blocked I dialed again to customer service and this time the agent created another ticket with different context He mentioned in the ticket that I want My SIM swapped to new SIM Which is not possible and I did not said to do that at all Now fast forwarding after 3 days the issue was still there and agent said the ticket got closed What Then I called again this time it went to India customer service There after a long fight with an agent she initially hesitant to transfer my call to higher authority but after further argument she agreed to transfer my call to her supervisor Ricky Ricky spoke with me nicely and helped to unblock the SIM within the call itself But my bundle did not get activated and he said he is writing an email to technical team and within 24 hours the issue would be resolved Then he promised to look into this issue personally and he said to call me next day Now next day 08 12 2023 neither the issue was resolved nor I received any call back from Ricky Then I called customer service again and explained everything to the new agent As expected he created another ticket to activate my bundle and said it would re resolved in 24 hours Today 08 13 2023 the issue still not resolved As always Agent said it would be resolved in next 24 hours The end and it goes on and on and on I am still waiting for my phone number to work since last 6 days Such a pathetic service UPDATE 08 14 2023 Got reply from Lycamobile customer service Naveen Guess what He did nothing but creating another ticket for technical team which was already created a day before What a JOKE As I mentioned earlier in the review talk to them 10 times you get 10 different tickets 10 different answers with commitment of resolving the issue in 24 hours But that day never comes in reality I am wondering how this company is allowed to operate in USA UPDATE 08 14 2023 I was lucky enough this time that the call was routed to India center and I was able to got it transferred to Ricky Supervisor at India center Because of him the issue got resolved finally Otherwise I would still be circling at the same place My sincere thanks to him and his proactive steps taken to resolve this issue Hence I am increasing my rating I would still give few stars down for the horrible experience with customer service team

Discount amount not matched and slow response

Edit It s been more than 48 hours again but the issue is still not resolved One of the agents told me that they believed it would be resolved by Sep 18 my current plan expires on that day which I highly doubted now I have also sent the screenshot to Lycamobile through the private channel as suggested by the reply from them here but got no response I am trying to buy the 6-month 29 plan The description said there d be a 48 discount to the total amount but it s only 30 when I tried to check out I contacted Lycamobile using the chat service three times and each time the agent would tell me that it needed 24-48 hours to be resolved It s been almost two weeks and I really hope this can be resolved soon

VERY UNHAPPY

I bought a sim from Lyca with a 6 months plan 6G per month for 47 25 I ported my number on 9 3 today 9 7 and I still unable to call The rep told me because the email they sent did NOT have the pin numbers to activate the plan and therefore he need to request it and it will take 24 - 48 hours Why did they NOT send me the pin as they supposed to Never in my life I m unable to call receive calls It was the biggest mistake that I transfer my number to this company Very UNHAPPYUpdate on 9 8 23 Someone from Lyca did call me on morning 9 7 23 told me to check my email and that they d sent me the pin so I could use to activate my account I checked my email right at the moment and saw the email w the pin so I used it to activate the account My phone did work perfectly after that Thank you Mr for stepped up and do your job I m changing my rating from 1 star to 3 star now due to the fact that the gentleman from Lyca did step up contact me to provide me the pin I think the 3 stars in more than generous since Lyca did not send me the 8 digits code as they supposed to and I was unable to use my phone for the period from 9 3 to 9 7

Outgoing and Account blocked

I have ported from T Mobile on Dec 6th 2022 Did recharge for a year on Dec 7th From Dec 8th my account got blocked and unable to make any outgoing calls Have been talking to customer care since 10 days every time they will ask for all transaction details and say it s been escalated but no response from customer service They say only email team has to respond but so far I have sent more than 8 emails with no response Finally asked them to share my account and pin so I can move to another mobile network even that is not shared yet Very frustrating customer support Hi BhuvanaThanks for resolving the issue My connection is working fine now Really appreciate if you could share my experience with your management and take necessary steps to avoid these kind of inconveniences in future

good data for money compared to ATT or T mobile

If you just wanna just get signal in the city call international and never try to change your provider or call customer care this is cheap and good Although it was partially my fault they have the worst customer care system ever in any company to exist I lost my patience and had to take it to Twitter and Karthikeyan ID 31130 reached out to me He helped me resolve this issue over twitter dms Best support from him Thanks Karthikeyan

Very hard to get a PIN activate

Trying to get a PIN code for my wife It s a nightmare Sent a request on Friday they say 24-48 hours Today I m checking the status and customer support says that PIN has been sent It didn t As it didn t when I was trying to get PIN for myself a week ago Their system simply doesn t work but for some reasons they can t fix it for some time There s no actually a way to speak to a Tier 2 customer support Tier 1 is useless as all they can do is to write a request to Tier 2 which should take 24-48 hours but it was never that time for me always longer You can connect only if you have a lot of free time to spend on getting PIN The cell service after you connect itself is GOOD It s a pity that it takes so much hassle to simply activate your new SIM card It just shouldn t be this way

I ported my sim card to Lyca 12 days

I ported my sim card to Lyca 12 days ago but I didn t get an activation pin to activate my plan I spoke to almost 30 customer care representatives in these 12 days and nothing was working out Finally today Mr Pugazh 3477 helped me activate my SIM card I really appreciate his service I want to thank him for his service He solved the problem in 20 minutes while I struggled with the same issue for 12 days and none of the representatives were helpful

I ve been a lyca customer for 2 5 years and never had to call customer care so never knew how horrible it was I wanted to port out my number today My recharge cycle had ended yesterday The customer care agent told me that I will need to recharge for another month and only then they can give me the account number and PIN I was ready to recharge while I was on call with them but they refused to wait on the line and asked me to call back later after recharge They did not even offer to call back which any other provider would do Now this is suspicious and i don t believe that I ll get my account number and PIN even after that I don t know why LYCA is holding my account number or asking me to recharge for a month when I clearly want to port out UPDATE incident was resolved the same day after speaking to a different agent Thank you for the support
