MaacoSucksWe took our 2021 Acura RDX to Maaco at 8787 Lenexa Drive because it was a convenient location to have the hood repaired from a rock that hit it from a construction vehicle What a mistake that was I ended up with a general manager Adam Hoffman telling me he did not even take his own car there because Maaco has such low standards allowing three yes 3 defects for every sq foot of surface area by company policy Not only that but they also managed to dent the hood If that was not my bad enough when I told them I d be writing this review the manager Michelle Colombo held my car hostage refusing to take my credit card and demanding cash Come to find out this is a common problem with them as I called the police and the officer responding said I was the second one that afternoon to report the same issue Here is the saga of MaacoSucks The first time we went to pick up the car the we noticed were new scratches in both fenders Closer review found several areas on the hood with debris embedded in the paint The manager Michelle was nice enough and saying she d have it repainted Second try we returned to again find debris in several spots in the hood and this time there was a small dent in the hood Michelle Colombo was visually irritated and said I should not expect perfect These cars come from the factory with these problems all the time Michelle stated To which I responded my asking her to show me one other place on the car that looked like that and I d take the car Michelle s response was well I guess third time is a charm it was not to be Third time was no better than the previous two Still several areas where there was debris in the hood The dent remained And NOW there were white specs in the black paint in a couple of areas So when I pointed these out Michelle who was obviously frustrated and again offered to paint it Talking to the wife she did not want to give them a fourth try I told Michelle at this point we d just like to take the car somewhere else Her response was that was fine but we had to pay her for the work done After some discussion between the wife and I we agreed to go ahead and pay and leave When we were handing Michelle our credit card for payment I explained to her that while we were paying the bill we were certainly not happy with the work and I d be writing reviews on all the social media sites I could find She immediately jumped up out of the chair visibly angry pushed past us and yelled you aren t going to bully me Now you have to pay cash I responded by saying she needed to take our credit card and release the car or I d call the police She told me to go ahead soon to find out this was a common occurrence here and told me her GM would be there in 30 minutes I call the police The officer arrived in about 20 minutes I explain the situation to the officer who then goes inside to get their story He comes back out telling me this is their company policy Anytime someone complains about the work they assume they will dispute the credit card charge and will require cash He also tells me this is the second call that afternoon for this same problem He states there is nothing more he can do and tells me the GM will be coming out to talk to me Finally the GM Adam Hoffman decides to come speak to us I tell him all the problems He does not even bother to look at the car being very dismissive of my concerns with the car and his manager Michelle Colombo and proceeds to tell me that it is Maaco policy to allow three defects for every sq foot of repair When I ask Adam if he is kidding he tells me that when his car was in an accident he went to a competing shop Eveland Brothers because he knew Maaco s standards were so low He took his car to a competing shop He told me that I should have known to go to a different shop if I expected to have quality work done saying that s why their prices were lower I told him that it might be good especially when someone brings new cars in to tell them Maaco does poor work and explain Maaco standards as I could not find such posted anywhere And just to add insult to injury when we finally go get cash so we can get our car the steering wheel and door had dirty hand prints all over them Maacosucks

Congratulations on doing your research on MAACO of Raleigh I wish I had With a BBB rating of F which is the lowest possible score I would have steered my truck repair anywhere else with a higher rating Which is pretty much anywhere else On the front end the service is great Mr Omar told a good story about how a complete package job was so much better than a simple dent repair and I bought it 3300 00 My trucks getting a face lift and Omar says I ll be very pleased with the result A week later it s pickup my truck day I drove by MAACO and checked to see if I could turn in my rental only hours before my appointment and was told it would be ready on schedule It was there Missing turn signal missing passenger mirror door won t open and still has dents that you really can t miss Paint overspray on rubber parts and glass and door handle Inside of door missing When you ve turned in your rental and just got out of a cab you are stuck Omar screwed the mirror on so I could drive home legally I installed the blinker Now they are paid the tone changes Omar blamed the body man for not keeping him informed the mechanic who helped me on my second trip said the dents were not circled so not fixed not his fault Subsequently Ms Laurie says she can repair the above items at cost for me but has no responsibility beyond that No one seems to remember that I already bought the complete job With new parts instead of the type of piecemeal dent repair they now think is okay So here s MAACO of Raleigh The shop is independently owned so MAACO can t help The Better Business Bureau has already graded them F so they obviously won t respond to yet another complaint I told Laurie I would be be leaving my first ugly review on google and she didn t seem to care much There s no shortage of well rated auto body shops in Raleigh why didn t I just do the research

I had my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4

I had my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 repainted by Maaco autobody in Florence KY I removed the third high mount brake light and a few other parts so they wouldn t have to Any way they were suppose to sand the paint down and then repaint the truck black original color They might have sanded it I don t know within the first year the paint bubbled up and cracked and flaking looked like a real bad sun burn I took my truck back and they sanded the drivers door and front fender again and then repainted the fender and door their warranty covered the paint and that was it After getting the truck back a few months past and the paint didn t match the truck cab is dark black in the repainted area the truck bed looks faded out faded black with a haze I noticed that the paint was chipping a little so I hit it with a little touch up paint from Autozone that is when I found out that you can t even touch up little spots with touch up paint it voids the warranty what warranty it only covers the paint During the month of October warm weather so I washed the truck and when I was standing in the truck bed in order to wash the top of the truck cab that is when I noticed that the paint around the top above the truck doors was cracking and from the looks of things they did not sand the paint down in those areas they feathered the old paint and then painted over the old paint The whole reason for the body work was that the factory paint job was cracking and chipping away down to the bare metal Find another body shop to do any auto body work that you need and get it done the right way It might cost a little more but it will be worth it I hate it when I pay for something and get shorty work I could have done a better paint job using cans of spray paint applying layers then wet sanding between coats then applying clear coat I think that Maaco is just a training shop for the less talented autobody people

Maaco of Panama City is not the place

Maaco of Panama City is not the place to go Everything going wrong Paint bubbling trim flying off my car while driving down the road them keeping my car for weeks at a time not able to get in touch with people that work there This place is awful

I would give this place negative -100

I would give this place negative -100 stars if I could I had my vehicle painted around 06 2021at MAACO Saraland Alabama I was quoted for a color change by the manager Cody I was even told that I was getting a good deal because Iam a Combat Disabled Veteran When I went to pick up the vehicle the first thing I noticed was that they did not change the color I guess it s okay to lie to the customer and then do whatever you want I know this was done on purpose because he avoided me the entire time I was picking up This was also a tactic because he knew that I rented a vehicle and that in order for them to correct it that would require me to rent a vehicle for at least another week costing even more money The emblems was place on broken and crooked the door handles all were broken upon return the paint had bubbles in it and they didn t even paint in all the areas that they prepped for painting I didn t even want them to correct anything because if you allow this type of work to come out of your shop then you don t deserve my business or anyone else I told my nephew the same thing I m telling you stay as far away from this place as possible

had an estimate done 3305 00 got my car back and it was horrible painter painted over dents in car instead of repairing the dents painter has no pride in his work i would have never of painted a car if i saw there were dents in it i would have contacted the owner and asked do you want these dents removed but no they just painred right over the huge dents SMH then they were supposed to replce headlights you guessed it headlights were not replced had to bring back again they do not pay attention to detail they deserve no stars but had to give 1 star which they don t even deserve that

Returned our 2017 Hyundai to the shop in Glen Burnie MD after we found dents in the roof that weren t there when we turned in the vehicle to get the roof painted Of course the response was We didn t dent it

NEVER USE MAACO

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE IT WAS THE PLAGUE THEY DO HORRIBLE WORK AND DO NOT HONOR WARRANTY I TOOK MY 1990 CHEVY CAVALIER THERE AND GOT THE BEST THEY HAD TO OFFER IT COST ME 2 GRAND AND THE PAINT STARTED CRACKING WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO GET IT FIXED BECAUSE THE PAINT JOB CAME WITH A WARRANTY THEY REFUSED TO I CONTACTED THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY DI NOTHING EXCEPT SEND ME AN EMAIL CAR IS STILL WITH PAINT CRACKING WHAT EVER CITY YOU LIVE IN DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MAACO
