Expensively High Fees

Expensively High Fees - took out a policy in October but just changed my bike which their insurer wouldn t cover without an alarm etc Got back 20 of my premium for 3 months cover 75 30 setup and 40 cancellation just in their fees which is not what I would call treating customers fairly Thanks but no thanks

Non existent Customer Service

I was hoping to avoid using a review due to an absolute failure to respond to my problem I have no choice MH failed to advise Breakdown Insurance of my additional motorcycle and when I called to be recovered on New Years Day I was told that the bike wasn t on Breakdown Insurance Had the faff of checking my policy on my phone was recovered but had to provide CC details E mailed 01 01 2023 YES I know it was a Bank Holiday MH no response sent 2nd 11 01 2023 email no response As suggested Website I could make a complaint on CHAT CHAT was useless was given a Tel number to call by CHAT to make a complaint again this number was useless Interestingly Tel Contact asked if I was calling about the problem with Breakdown unprompted by me Was told that it would be raised with Complaints still waiting So much for 3 day resolution Will be taking my business elsewhere on renewal A message to Niall and Neil sort your people out

I was charged 115 60 for a motorbike I no longer owned Spent about 8 hours trying to get through and when I eventually got through to someone from Mackenzie Hodgson Atlanta 1 Autonet or whoever didn t sort the problem out they just sent another message claiming that it s illegal to ride without insurance Since then I have been hounded by CRS for payment daily whilst still being able to get any contact from yourselves Terrible experience from a terrible insurance company The only time you might get through on a call is if you re looking to renew or take out a policy

Renewal nightmare with Mackenzie Hodgson Bike insurance

Got a renewal from Mackenzie Hodgson and they d made a mistake in the details I called the number on their letter and they said they couldn t see my policy as it wasn t on their bit of the system they also couldn t see my name or address on their system even though I ve been with them for years Turns out the team that deal with my policy can t be called so they said they d get them to call me back ASAP That was about 4 hours ago As I was concerned about what would happen if I needed to make a claim I called the claims numer on my insurance and it was answered by someone working for FourthDimension representing Carole Nash Insurance I asked of she also represented Mackenzie Hodgson customers and she said no but when I gave her my broker ref SUMYxxx she could see my details So who s insuring me Carole Nash or Mackenzie Hodgson

You say dont worry your policy is auto renewal you remain insured but i wasnt was i I travelled over 400 miles the other weekend not knowing that i wasnt insured Apparently my credit card had expired you didnt have my new details WHY dont you have a department that sends out reminders if this happens I should have checked myself but when i got an email with the same review as this i automatically assumed that i was insured until i received a letter on the Tuesday saying my policy was cancelled So NO i wasnt happy with your service not that you will read or reply to my review

awful company that don t seem to know how to arrange or cancel insurance avoid at all costs Terrible customer service and communication

Not there when we needed them

My brother and I had taken out policies with Mackenzie Hodgson to take advantages of their European breakdown cover for our motorcycle trip to Europe When my brother broke down in Austria and I phoned the claims line I just was passed from pillar to post and we ended up having to rely on the good will of strangers who were excellent MH just weren t there for us when we needed them I ll never use them again

Taken my money then cancelled my policy and kept the moneyThieves and scammers After this review was posted they did refund most of the money however because they cancelled my policy I can no longer find an insurer that will cover meI d have been better off if I hadn t hired them at all
