bike renewal due on the 18 10 20 By the 11th had received no renewal information so i phoned them direct Price quoted was 1 3 higher with no explanation i did explain that due to lockdown the bike had only covered 800 miles in a year but no reason was given I was eventually sent a renewal letter which did show the renewal premium it did not show my last years price as is now required by industry standards Usual excuse ov Covid and were all sat on the sofa in our PJs working from home

I sold my bike today

I sold my bike today and called Mackenzie Hodgson to put the policy on hold until I buy a new bike Not possible If I have not bought a new bike in 28 days the policy is cancelled incurring a 40 00 broker fee and no refund for the remaining 8 months of the policy Poor value to pay for 12 months and get 4 Not much encouragement to put any more business their way for any of my 3 bikes

The amount of gobbledegook paperwork is mind blowing must be simplified also incredibly difficult to find numbrpers to ring for uk and continental breakdown also info contradicts itself I will definitely change next year

Problems with renewal again

Another price increase this year to reward my loyalty but made worse that when I tried to renew they had pushed the price up by another 70 two days after I received the renewal notice This took a further 5 days 4 frustrating phone calls and 3 failed promises for them to call back before they got the price back to what was quoted on the paperwork

Please get better

Communication issues lack of clarity over soft hard copy supply rude agent when we had to ring back because of no communication for a week after buying Hopefully these can be addressed because the products are good

Very difficult to get in touch with then when I did they said they would ring me back because the connection was bad But they never did contact me

Easy enough to take out insurance

Easy enough to take out insurance - but they are actually just fronting for Carole Nash So when I wanted to make an early change to a new bike no one seemed able to process this simple task and after three phone calls and endless queuing only to be told no one was available to deal with my call I decided to cancel Eventually after another call I received a call back from a manager who was very nice most apologetic and who cancelled the policy for me But what a hassle - imagine trying to make a claim

I was an existing customer but my new premium was 30 more than going onthe comparison websites Why you do you people disregard your own clients It s such a stupid business model Do it again I will never renew

The premium quoted by MH was competitive The telephone conversation to confirm purchase was efficient The policy details were to be supplied by email within 24 hours Over a week later they have still not been received
