Frequently changing mortgage advisors
The actual mortgage broker Jeni Brown was helpful and provided a choice of suitable products for a residential mortgage The issues occurred post application The broker s support team did not return calls and did not reply to emails promptly The lender began asking for proof on income that didn t exist and it transpired that a member of MFB had confused my business turnover with net profit and also sent the lender income from a previous employment that I no longer received - despite this being made clear on application The support team advised me that they were not able to contact the lender direct and had to go through a business support manager - which usually took up to 4 days Due to pressure from the vendor and their agent at the slow progress of the application I had to contact the actual Lender on a number of occasions to get an update into the ongoing delays many of which they stated were the fault of MFB Eventually a mortgage was offered after 3 months of delay and issues I would not use this firm again and I did not feel that they offered any real value to the transaction

The service is really very very poor
Frequently changing mortgage advisors advisors lacking attention to detail ignoring follow up calls will never again trust with another lending

Currently using them and they are slow at responding to calls and pushing your case forward to solicitors Haven t got experience of other firms but when paying for a service I d expect more

Complex cases require careful handling
Initially my cases were handled well and in accordance with my past experience over several years However once offers were issued and accepted on the two cases and solicitors were instructed confusion set in It wasn t explained to me that only one case required the solicitors to be instructed as the other case related to a further advance This resulted in the confusion being transmitted to the solicitors which resulted in delays and almost missing a deadline which might have required a new valuation and the associated costs This might have been because the person handling the cases day to day changed in the middle

Good service and range of products
Overall the team at mortgages for business have been helpful Response times to queries have been good and when experienced issues with lender they did everything to try and resolve I would recommend them as a broker in the future

Excellent support and service from Jack at MfB
In the latter stages of the process when our conveyancers were not acting as quickly or efficiently as needed Jack A Court was very diligent in chasing up for progress reports and keeping us informed

The work Mortgages for Business did was
The work Mortgages for Business did was excellent unfortunately the Mortgagees which they placed us with Keystone made the whole application extremely lengthy by dragging the process on and on continually asking last minute questions which should have been dealt with months before thereby continually delaying the process In our example it took over 11 months to get to completion Having multiple mortgages against our portfolio and having gone through this process many times with other mortgagees I am aware of the normal timelines these matters take this was not it
