Bought a 3000 phono cartridge and then some
Bought a 3000 phono cartridge smug little angry people it seems You would think the sales guy would have some interest Like pulling teeth to get info totally uninterested Sorry my 5k purchase bored you being I am a woman I guess hole The ONLY reason I went through with it is being the zero percent They know this why they do it Not a secret look the countless reviews up Funny you cant leave a Google review If I could have done it elsewhere I absolutely would have They just leave you with that grease-ball used car sale feeling Notice I didn t name the phono cart I wouldn t dare want that beauty to get mixed up with these folks in any way My point is go somewhere else even if for a little more money which is never the case the usually are the most expensive too imagine that They cornered the market we audiophiles loved and now treat it like a sweat shop To prove the point I know a major record store owner JUST start dealing with them because they punish you on cost stock and timing of stock with MOFI and Analogue productions if you don t play ball because they are part owner now Ever wonder why you see some people have a SE copy of Mofi and you cant find it anywhere else That is why So F this windbag company spend your money elsewhere Only way smug arrogant asses like this learn

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service sales rep Josh should not be in customer service When is it ok for an employee in sales to totally disregard a customers need and then hang up the phone on the customer and would not complete the order he had in front of him all because the customer prefer to pick up his order which the company allows rather than have the order ship Why are you dealing with the public if you are an irate person and you do not have any patient to talk with buying customers This type of behavior will deter new and existing customer from purchasing with the company and the sad part about this bad experience is that the company gets another bad review which hurts the company more than the sales guy Josh

Danny Tompkins was the sales rep helping me out the guy is completely unprofessional showed no eagerness to help and quoted me a price and it did not honor it I would stay away from this place at all cost

Will not pay for return shipping on defective vinyl
Received a vinyl record with an off center press on side D unplayable and they expect me to pay for return shipping Not only that but they were not very nice about it on the phone and even said if your expectation that every time you receive something from us that doesn t meet your standards you get to return it please don t order from us It felt like I was being scolded They claim vinyl records are an imperfect art form and I should expect defects like this After the scolding they told me they would do a one time return for my money back as long as I don t order from them any more I returned the item and I have not seen my refund I am amazed at how terrible customer service is from these guys It is a real shame because it seems they are doing everything else right The bad attitude is a deal breaker for me

Buyer be ware switch and bait
Just went to buy something in my cart they raised prices almost 25 to nail Christmas shoppers Old price was on my screen from yesterday and went to purchase BOOM up 50 I took everything on my XMas list from them off This includes clearance items they jacked up pricing LOL Buyer beware Sad I liked them

ZERO STARS
Giving one star because zero stars isn t an option 1 website said orders before 2pm are shipped same day I placed my order at 4 16 am Tuesday morning and two days later my 2200 speakers are WHO KNOWS WHERE Looks like they re still at Music Direct FedEx doesn t have the shipment although I was given a tracking number They ve made a label and that s it So much for same day shipping on orders before 2pm I ve called them numerous times and either get a rude representative or someone who makes a promise the company doesn t keep 2 free shipping on orders over 49 yet they charged me 75 shipping on a 2 200 order and SAID they would refund the shipping but again two days later NO REFUND I hear Covid weather blah blah blah but why not take the same day shipping guarantee OFF THE WEB SITE if Covid-19 has been with us over TWO YEARS And the weather wasn t an issue on TUESDAY when the order was supposed to ship One excuse after another When they open this morning wonder what today s excuse is going to be

Horrible Experience
I just recently ordered 4 vinyl records from Musicdirect online and haven t received 3 of them it s been 18 days now and still never shipped At the time of purchase all 4 items were in-stock and its availability stated ships 1-2 days but this was not the case whatsoever I followed up everyday and the status of these items frequently changed day-by-day from in stock to out of order or awaiting repress then back to in stock - ships 1-2 days however my items never shipped The one item I did receive arrived after 2 weeks which was way later than I anticipated I talked to a rep on the phone and he assured me the 3 items would ship no later than 2 days It s been 2 days and no word at all I just sent them a message online explaining the situation and currently await a response My advice Find a more reliable company for your music needs

Customized dust cover for turntable
I ordered a customized dust cover for my turntable a few years ago They sent me a template to show where I needed cutouts for cables etc For the dimensions I asked for details on how to measure the length and width and height Well when I received the item the cover was very tight meaning that to put it on most of the time it will contact the platter or tonearm Recently I noticed that my tonearm s tracking force was 3 grams rather than the 2 grams recommended for my cartridge this can only be explained by the cover banging into the counterweight and moving it forward For a relatively expensive customized product which cannot be returned I would have expected much better attention to detail No reply to my complaints Unfortunately I spent thousands of dollars prior to this which I would rather have given to a reputable business

Low quality vinyl records Company won t pay for a Return label for exchange
I order 9 albums all vinyl records Only 6 received and 3 are out of stock 4 out of the 6 are not working good Very bad recording Music stops and jumps all the time I called for an exchange - They can exchange but WONT send a return label They refuse to take responsibility and want me to pay for the return without guaranteeing it will work the next time
