You Never Know How Good Something is Until You FInish It By Marilyn

The course and instructors are excellent I learned a lot For me personally I would have preferred not having to do the kind of photography and website that comes in the later units But I understand the NY State requirements for approving and accrediting the course You never know how good something is until you finish it My quote That is so true with NYIAD Thank you

Good until the end

Up until the very end I had a good experience Once I completed my my course i found out I had not really completed the course When I first started the course in 2015 NYIAD was using a different program for submitting the program HighTail So I had already submitted the assignment but wasn t given credit for it I have since re-submitted the assignment but still waited for it to be graded

The course was comprehensive

The course was comprehensive My only issue was different designers were assigned to review your work I found Inconsistencies in what they were saying Some would give one kind of feedback and the next design reviewer would tell me something different It was hard to know if I learned things correctly Hope the school fixes this as I see it as a major drawback to online learning

Interior Design program

I learned alot and hoping to continue my Ed Instructors were avaible for questions and gave great advice and constructive criticism when needed The online system was easy to navigate Be careful with the instructions in your unit kits vs the online instructions They can be very confusing If you have questions just email instructors They re good about getting back to you quickly

I am enjoying the course however

I am enjoying the course and learning a lot I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in floral design however-I see many typos especially in unit 3 Also- the videos are very hard to watch I find myself drifting off or having to take a small break- the instructor has no energy doesn t smile doesn t seem happy to be teaching us It would be more tolerable if the teacher instructor was energetic confident and motivated with a happy tone It s a very monotone low energy vibe which I m sure others would agree is very hard to follow along with Other than that the course and website are pretty decent and easy to navigate

For the most part I enjoyed my course

For the most part I enjoyed my course I did feel I should have had some drafting experience before hand I also think they should have recommended some good books or teaching videos that would have helped a great deal Learning the different styles eras of home furnishings were difficult to figure out on the copies you were given for grading Photos of the furniture would have been so much easier to distinguish them Also the very short history on Islam was false They have never conquered anything anyone peacefully It is always with violence I suggest you leave out this statement all together

Amazing program

I m so glad to have completed the interior design program with NYIAD I feel that I ve learned so much and have already implemented what I ve learned A few things were challenging using regular mail was hard on timing and also the short chapters on kitchen and bathroom designs I wish would have been more extensive But over all a really awesome program

Interior design

Good program just wish there was a way where all videos were accessible through one page or one tab that I can select based on topic Kind of difficult having to shuffle through pages to try to find something to re-watch I find myself struggling in my interior design class because of this when I need to redo a project but being told to re-watch video takes me forever to find again

I believe the content along with the

I believe the content along with the pics are very informative Sometimes the questions on the test get a little confusing because it s worded differently than what s been said in the chapter However it makes you think a little deeper about what the chapter and questions are trying to convey in the test I appreciate the short videos that give a clear summery of certain key elements within the chapter I also appreciate the chat room though I don t use it as much as I should but when I do it motivates me to see other NYIAD students Thank you for all the information and opportunity to start something new Sincerely Marvina ILao

I enjoy the Interior Design course

I enjoy the Interior Design course it takes you step by step through each unit The one that I don t like is when you send a project back sometimes the comments are not clear in what the instructor wants you to change That s where class room courses have an advantage
