Their application process is broken
Their application process is broken - if you re lucky enough to actually use it on a PC Laptop I ended up doing all my process through the phone since I kept getting error messages on any other device I also dealt with getting auto logged out when writing about my experience which meant I lost a lot of information because I couldn t save my progress I had to keep saving every 3 minutes AFTER I wrote 100 words You can t save your progress until 100 words are written in the description so better write quickly and save - if not you ll get booted and need to relog only to see everything disappeared Customer service chat isn t helpful and the live chat doesn t work For an organization that prides itself on Project management whoever managed their website project clearly failed quality testing or thought that having PMP applicants submit through their phones was better If this wasn t the ONLY way to get the PMP I would have already gone to another service Got to love being a monopoly for a certification process - you can be poor at your job because there is no competition or alternative

Absolutely would not recommend
Absolutely would not recommend I took the DASM course paying hundreds of dollars At the end of the course they required me to email a DASM certification email address to request the link to schedule the exam They give you 60 days to do this I emailed right away No answer over a month later I tried calling emailing chatting and texting their text number Every individual said they put in a ticket please allow 2-3 business days for a response A month later I am out almost 500 No link to sign up for the exam I requested my money back guess what no response to that either NEVER use this company Something as simple as sending a link which should have been provided at the end of the course is just too much for them to do

Worked on the DASM certification
Worked on the DASM certification through PMI and attempted the PMP Should have known better when I took the course for DASM and all the issues I had just for them to give me the link to sign up to take my DASM test months later many phones calls many text chats many emails Same issue with the PMP They flagged me and was absolutely ridiculous with the meticulous requests for the PMP application Was it because I learned my lesson with the DASM and paid someone else for the hours course Who knows Fast forward renewed my DASM PDU s through their website And they accepted all my PDU s Went on to check the renewal date and provide my cert to my company they posted my cert as expired Absolutely unreal I will never use PMI org for anything Shame on you for having a monopoly on the PM certification I wish someone would offer a PM cert you d have at least five people from my little world supporting your company

Worst customer service and lead times
Takes them a week to generate a quote to pay and take the exam Not to mention the time you spend applying and waiting for their response Customer support just lies to your face and says to wait just a half hour for days on end After that experience why give them money

PMP online testing process is broken and customer support barely speaks English
PMP online testing system through Pearson OnVUE is broken Customer support and test proctors have no idea how to resolve network issues on their side have a very hard time with English and are scattered across the world Studying for 6 months for an exam that you cannot take because of technical issues is very frustrated What s worse PMI thinks you missed the exam because the Case Number system at Pearson isn t connected to PMI They charge you a retake fee until you contact PMI customer support and Pearson customer support AND to make matters even worse Pearson requires more than 1 week to get back to you about technical issues and PMI has a period of time before you must complete your 3 exams or you have to resubmit for the entire process I wanted to be PMP certified At this point I m considering telling others to avoid PMI

Avoid Terrible experience
Avoid Been waiting 3 months for access to correct materials but still don t have access I chase them daily weekly and every time I get false promises that it will be sorted and it is being investigated Every excuse they give I provide them with information or evidence and still nothing happens On each call they tell me that I have provided what they need and it will be sorted within 2-3 days Escalations mean nothing I am apparently at the highest point of escalation but I might as well be at the lowest Not one to complain usually but it is absolutely beyond a joke Awful
