I had written a comment on Eurocar parks who had denied my appeal I had then appealed with POPLA and with proper evidence and justification I was reading the negative reviews and I was pretty sure that POPLA would reject my claim as well however within 5 working days of appeal I had my appeal go through successfully What a fantastic experience- thank you POPLA for considering my case

Common sense
Won my appeal after only 4 days Submitted on Sunday and received the reply this morning Glad to see some common sense at last I cannot believe CP plus refused my original appeal I would have gone to court as we did have a blue badge displayed and the attendant did tell us to throw the ticket away The sooner we get rid of private any parking charges in hospital car parks the better Many thanks Popla

I lodged an appeal where parkingeye
I lodged an appeal where parkingeye issued a fine for 100 60 if paid within 14 days for me attempting to park realising I couldn t as the carpark was full and driving out again it took 13 minutes The fine was for the 13 minutes I attempted to park Little did parking eye know they were dealing with a barrister The parking company rejected my initial claim of course citing some template nonsense and stating that if i approach popla i could no longer opt for the discounted rate Knowing I was right I approached popla As long as you keep emotion out of the equation and argue points with fact and logic I strongly believe popla will give you a favorable outcome It was evidently clear in my case that signage was inadequate language used on the signage could be interpreted in many ways and simply it is unfair to charge someone who had full intention of paying but could not use the service as stipulated in the contract once you enter the land managed by the managing company You need to approach the appeal process as formal as if you were about to stand in front of a judge in a court of law and see things from the perspective that a legal contract has been entered into between yourself and the parking operator Read the contract and cross reference with the BPA guidance you will be surprised or perhaps not how parking operators impose rules that contradict BPA guidance These can be argued and would likely to stand up in a court of law Popla like a court of law will overturn unfair aspects of a contract if you can back up your claim with sound logic and facts I had the conviction that if popla rejected my appeal I would have went to court and allowed a judge to hear the case You must have the same conviction to be sucessful too My appeal was sucessful Yes I have a legal background but I strongly believe anyone can get a parking fine overturned if it was truly unfair and unjust with a bit of prudence and research I found the whole process fair unbiased and efficient Popla allowed me to submit evidence then the parking operator had the opportunity to submit evidence then I had a further opportunity to comment of the evidence they submitted The decision took 3 weeks

Thanks so much POPLA
I received a parking charge notice from Premier Parking through the post after overstaying at a retail park I appealed through their website and attached the photo evidence of my receipts and a screenshot shot of my bank statement I waited for their decision to come through the post and after a few weeks some random email pops up stating I wasn t successful at the appeal Boy did my heart sink Not only that an attached email dated 1wk prior cropped up behind appeal rejection asking me to re-submit my evidence No one can understand how terrible it felt as I literally had attached all my evidence I never thought this could happen I appealed against their decision through POPLA Ombudsman services as I felt I was being treated quite unfairly especially as I had all my evidence I was so disheartened when I saw some of the reviews for POPLA but I really couldn t afford to pay the fine To cut a long story short after 2wks I ve just received an email from POPLA stating that Premier Parking have withdrawn their appeal Thanks so much to POPLA for giving me a chance to appeal through their services as they obviously saw the common sense of the situation I m also going to thank the one person in Premier Parking who decided to withdraw the appeal I m still deeply traumatised over the whole episode especially as my family had suffered a recent health situation So this whole episode has seriously affected us Thank you thank you and thank you again POPLA

Two successful appeals
I am cautious when it comes to parking and know that the parking operators work to within an inch of the law when it comes to issuing fines Despite being cautious I have been caught out twice which I felt was unjust on both occasions but also then had two successful appeals to POPLA so if you have a good evidenced case then it is well worth going through the appeals process which is online and quick to do

Parking fine withdrawn
I recently used POPLA as I had already appealed a parking fine with Smart Parking Ltd for which they had rejected POPLA was a very straight forward service to use and I was informed of the timescales for appeals etc within the appeal acknowledgement email This morning I received an email from POPLA to say that the parking fine had been withdrawn by Smart Parking Ltd and that no further action was required My experience of using this service has been nothing but straight forward and easy and after reading all of the negative reviews I thought it would be helpful to add my own experience to give someone else a little bit of hope who is thinking of using them to appeal
