I thought I d write this review as there seems to be an overwhelmingly negative rating on here of POPLA Whilst I accept most of this will be due to the fact that people have had their appeals rejected and they re more inclined to post a review than those who have had a better experience I personally received a parking charge off Parking Eye and appealed to them straight away The biased internal appeal failed and I don t even think they looked at the case at all- just a generic there was plenty of visible signage etc A totally ridiculous process and like turkey s voting for Christmas We all know what bottom feeders these private parking companies are like I was in the position that many of you reading this review are probably in and was debating whether to appeal to POPLA due to their ratings and the carrot being dangled from Parking Eye that I d receive a reduced fine if I didn t go to the independent POPLA and pay up What I would say is POPLA are probably likely to side with the private companies if you don t have tangible evidence to provide Fortunately I had call logs emails and text messages and believed I had a legitimate reason for being in the car park for a very brief period of time and certainly not worthy of being slapped with a 100 fee If you have evidence to point to and a legitimate reason for being there i e not an excuse anybody could just fabricate without anything there to back it up I d say appeal I personally viewed it as I d rather fight and pay the 100 than think they just robbed me of 60 or whatever the reduced rate was and assisting with their slimy greed Stick to your guns and don t let these private companies bully you into paying if you have good grounds After appealing to POPLA and providing a detailed statement with evidence Parking Eye dropped the charge the following day I believe Good luck all

I just have to add some balance to all the negative reviews My appeal was successful Windscreen PCN issued for abuse of patron parking was defended to the fullest by Care Parking who even tried to add an additional contravention of not parked wholly in bay at the POPLA stage - they really are swines But at POPLA the burden of proof is on the parking firm and the only evidence they had was an operative-witness-statement that said the driver was seen exiting the vehicle and leaving site I denied it POPLA ruled in my favour and did not consider any evidence relating to me also being parked on a bay line as a PCN can not be issued for two different reasons HA The feedback from POPLA following the outcome was detailed and helpful and clearly explained why they had reached the decision they had I felt listened to I felt vindicated I felt it was worth the effort Maybe I just got lucky who knows Very sorry for all those who were not successful It s horrible to get a ticket then you spend time and effort fighting it all for nothing But hopefully my review proves that it s not always unsuccessful worth a shot

ParkingEye TicketJuly 2020 -Successful appeal upheld by Popla -I had a flat tyre on a motorway in May 2020 and managed to limp off onto a Motorway Service station where I remained on the Garage Forecourt for almost 4 hours awaiting Breakdown services Despite informing Forecourt staff and the staff at the deserted Service outlet I still received a ticket from ParkingEye I appealed to ParkingEye with screen shots of my call to the RAC and a letter from the RAC confirming the call out and time of completion I then received a further letter from ParkingEye to say my appeal was unsuccessful as I had not purchased a parking ticket -even though I was next to the tyre inflator with the metal tyre rim on the ground and unable to move the vehicle They suggested an appeal to Popla or a 14 day grace period to pay the full fine After 3-4 weeks I received the outcome from Popla who upheld my appeal If you have a genuine case -I would advise appealing to Popla before paying any fines Common sense will hopefully prevail

Excellent - took on board my points and rules in my favour Took some time but appreciate the need to get all the evidence

I m a bit shocked at how negative the reviews are for POPLA I had such a good experience with them Long story short I parked in a McDonalds and went inside got some food came out For some reason MET parking sent me a fine I sent evidence of a bank statement containing a contactless payment on that date They rejected it no surprise there I sent all the evidence to POPLA they opened an investigation and MET parking cowered knowing that they were in the wrong and didn t even want to contest the ticket I won the appeal instantly Their website interface is good and easy to use And they escalated the appeal very quickly I was more than happy to go to country court and fight tooth and nail but I didn t have to go through the hassle because of Popla so I m chuffed

I am the vast minority here but I ve now won two cases out of two against some carpark bandits Civil Enforcement I think they re aptly named thanks to POPLA I read Trust Pilot reviews before even going down that route and so I gave myself no chance but the saucy little minxes came in good for me twice in a month so thought I d boost their ratings on here My appeals were against offences where I was in a private car park engine still running blinkers on unloading and loading into the kitchen of a pub No other access no loading bay I wasn t even in a parking bay but was as close to the back entrance as possible- ALWAYS fight against the car park slags it ain t worth losing 100 over if you can spend 30 mins putting together your case properly with POPLA

I am writing this because the other reviews on here put the fear of god into me but I had a good experience with Popla I appealed through Popla on the 7th January the parking company replied on the 19th January I replied on the 20th Jan and Popla came back today the 10th February to advise I had been successful just to give a time frame indication I had to call Popla because my reply to the parking company was too big to fit into the box and they were very helpful on the phone allowing me to add the text into an email they then attach to your case They also explained why I was successful and their explanation proves they definitely did look into my case properly I do believe they are impartial but I do think some BPA legislation has them over a barrel in regards to some tickets I would advise anyone using Popla to give as much information as possible especially picture evidence etc

Do not use this service hopeless they tell you they will get back to you rubbish they don t they say they will help they don t They side with the car park I had a ticket in clevedon salt house car park there were no signs where I parked Premier park I sent email to popla now I have a debt recovery letter now 170 00 I will write to every tv program Do not use popla waste of effort I have over 60 emails You re reply is not a surprise full of empty promises and leading emails absolutely full of I advise any one and every one - - do not use popla it s a rip off and total waist of time if I could load up all emails correspondence this would be seen by all No body from popla reply s to emails I ve sent so so many to popla staff un helpful computer says no answers

Amazing service - I appealed a ticket I received at ASDA and have been successful I knew I spent more than enough to qualify for free parking however I did not notice the machines at the time
