I was extremely spectacle after appealing against my PCN fine with Highway View reading these reviews I must be one of the lucky ones I appealed against the PCN with POPLA due to the fact that my car broke down flat battery which meant I was unable to move my car in time to comply with parking time rules Had to get my father to come out and help me using jump leads which lead to my PCN 2 weeks later coming through the door I appealed against it explaining this reason however Highway View was having none of it My next course of action was appeal against it with POPLA After submitting my appeal Highway view shot themselves in the foot providing picture evidence of the signage what they charge for over staying in that particular car park The images shown in their evidence was 85 fine reduce to 40 if paid within 2 weeks However the PCN fine I had received stated 100 or 60 if paid within 2 weeks Because of this POPLA made my appeal successful and wrote off the fine stating that Highway View have breached the contractual agreement for that car park and issued an incorrect PCN fine Unbelievable haha Anyone out there in the appeals process against these cowboy private companies I reccomend you check if they are issuing the PCN with the correct fine amount If they have not then you will more than likely be successful Makes me wonder how often they issue incorrect PCN fine amounts and gotten away with it Thank you POPLA

Thank you for mediating and assessing
Thank you for mediating and assessing my case and it s particular circumstances I see that there are a lot of reviews here alluding that POPLA are biased but my experience would strongly suggest otherwise Therefore I am leaving this positive review to reflect and hopefully correct the balance a little and to not deter others from using this reputable and independent service which is literally in place for your needs should you feel that they can help Thank you POPLA

I m one of the 40 with successful appeal outcomes
Poor POPLA is getting a bit of an unfair battering here so I thought I d give my own more positive experience to offset I have twice received completely unjustified 100 parking fines in the past 3 years the first from Euro parking and the second from that bunch of cretins at Smart Parking Both my appeals were taken to POPLA and both were successful one on grounds of lack of landowner authority and the second because Smart Parking refused to comply with BPA guidelines to offer a reduced fine after a major keying error I think a lot of these unsuccessful appeals are because of a lack of understanding regarding mitigating circumstances as grounds for appeal In short they re mostly irrelevant to contract law My advice is to be honest present your evidence clearly and with supporting attachments tickets receipts and time stamps etc and always use multiple reasons as grounds for appeal If you know you ve met all parking obligations and have evidence you have a good chance of winning your appeal which in my experience will be approached fairly by POPLA

Gave a car a jump start
We have lodged an appeal via POPLA and are awaiting their response so currently they are getting 5 stars I stopped to help a stranded motorist whose car had broken down flat battery as I live 200 yards away from the car park in question so ran home to get my car and some jump leads I entered the car park got the battery charged and got the stranded motorist back on their way This took just less than 13 minutes to achieve I sent my original appeal to Euro Car Parks who turned it down I am quite sure they didn t review the CCTV to see that I was just helping someone one of their customers to be precise who had paid to park there overnight I have lodged my appeal with POPLA and will post their response on here once I have sight of it Stay tuned

Worthwhile
I wanted to share my positive experience with POPLA as I seen they had been given such bad reviews on here I received a parking fine from Parking Eye after parking in Llandudno retail park I paid my parking and the machine did not issue a ticket I tried calling the number on the board in the car park and it advised that some machines do not issue tickets but allocate your payment to the reg input into the machine However less than a week later Parking Eye issued me with a parking fine through the post I appealed the fine with Parking Eye and received a generic reply saying the fine still stood I then appealed to POPLA online and less than a week I have received a reply from them to say that Parking Eye have now withdrawn the fine Definitely worthwhile appealing with POPLA as gave the same information as original appeal but they obviously checked CCTV second time around to see that I did actually put money in the machine Shame on you Parking Eye

SUCCESSFUL APPEAL AND FAIR TREATMENT
I see that POPLA have been given a number of very poor reviews however my experience of them has been very good Their consideration of my appeal has been extremely thorough and very fair and was explained to me in fine detail by their assessor My outcome was very positive and POPLA have upheld my appeal against the parking operators thereby cancelling my PCN I can only thank POPLA for giving me the opportunity to lay out my case and evidence fairly and to have found in my favour I hope their decision will now force the parking operator to display the parking signage properly and save other motorists any more stress and grief Thank You POPLA

Sorted 2 unjust parking fines from Parking Eye
Parked in a Parking Eye car park twice Received 100 fines for both parking episodes 200 total with Parking Eye accusing me of not paying for parking despite me having used their parking app and Apple Pay Appealed to Parking Eye as a days parking was paid each time for roughly 90 minutes parking Parking Eye said they didn t use the parking app despite their being 8 or 9 signs around the car park saying to use the app Appealed to POPLA providing proof of payments made to Parking Eye and with a photograph of the signs saying to use the online app to pay for parking Took about 6 weeks for POPLA to get back to me Today I learned that I didn t have to pay the 2 x 100 fines Thank you POPLA

I was issued a PCN by Smart Parking for
I was issued a PCN by Smart Parking for not paying for my stay in Altrincham The issue was I did pay and they refunded me which meant that to thier systems I had not actually paid I appealed to Smart Parking and as expected it was declined I sent the same information to POPLA screen shot of conversation with bank regarding payment screenshot from my app proving payment and the fact that I attempted to call Smart Parking to report a faulty machine as it didn t issue me with a ticket TBH I didn t hold out much hope given the reviews here and the fact that when raised on the PEPIPOO site the view was I would need more But I was successful it has revived my belief in justice to a small degree
