Could be easier to access site as I have had problems

Very difficult to access set up account Have not been able to get payment confirmation an access to policy documents but that could be my fault

Very good to communicate with Easy to contact friendly and helpful staff Fair prices which do not rise at a ridiculous level every year like some other companies Can be a bit slow to process claims but other than that They are a very good company

We recieved a new quotation for our pet the quote increased from last years premium after discussing the quote over the phone with purely pets they managed to reduce the premium which was acceptable

Easy transaction after a fashion Difficulty initially as the rep didn t seem to understand what I was asking and appeared to keep reading from a script new to the job I therefore hung up and arranged the new policy myself

Good service

So after reading poor reviews and the Facebook pages I got so stressed at a time I needed to be not stressed I had a claim for 800 from 12 02-19 02 and then a claim for 2800 CT scan on 11 03 in and was fearful that it wouldn t be paid based on reviews and the time I contacted them explained my situation and worry as I have to have my dog a operation at a further 5000 total bill 9500 and needed assurance that they would pay up the 6000 of my policy The claim was prioritised I don t believe it but less than a week later I ve had both paid in full the reviews have caused me more stress than needed so guess the moral or the storey is each case is different and it s not all bad Why 4 stars It shouldn t take a few calls to get it prioritised it should be supported on the first call based on individual basis

Positive overall experience

Had a positive overall experience with purely pets Got insurance with them last year for the first time through a comparison site I did find their online portal tricky to use on my phone but works great on my laptop Recently claimed for a surgery for my dog its says 28 days it took 47 days to settle but they paid directly to the vets which took away a lot of the stress and compared to other companies I have read reviews on this is pretty quick for a claim to be settled We decided not to renew as we paid via debit card we had to call to renew and we waited on hold for 45 minutes and ended up going elsewhere

Easy to purchase at a reasonable price Appears on comparison sites did check some insurers who were not on but they were over double the price Not had to claim anything yet so cannot comment if this is required

My only criticism regards the questions

My only criticism regards the questions asked when insuring a puppy My female Cavapoo is too young to be neutered at present but will be as soon as she is old enough Also cross breed pups are difficult to state categorically what size they will grow to beyond what is expected Presumably any changes may affect the policy so I would propose adding this information by each question Every other aspect of process was easy to understand and complete
