My son was a lil nervous starting this

My son was a lil nervous starting this class but once it got going and he met the teacher he was ready to go He actually volunteered to to answer questions instead of being called on by the teacher He could hardly wait to tell his Daddy later that night how he met and made new friends that day He has always struggled to read so I really wasn t sure how the class would go but it turned out great Hes already ready for the next class

Great Reading program for ALL Ages

The Institute of Reading Development is fantastic We have a 5-year old 8-year old and 11-year old Each program is perfectly geared to their age group In addition to engaging live Zoom classes the online lessons are the perfect complement to reinforce the class material This program kept our children s reading skills sharp throughout the summer We are eager to continue in their Best Books program this fall We would recommend this program to anyone who wants to make their child an excellent reader with a love of literature

Excellent Program

Excellent Program I recommend it to all my friends to enroll their children My son had Kinder and 1st grade and now we started the 2nd grade which is so good that I make no effort to have him sit an hour long He started to like reading and does it before sleeping Teacher are professionals and know how to have everyone participate

My son reads well but distance learning

My son reads well but distance learning due to COVID-19 damaged his motivation Reading a book for pleasure was suddenly boring Although it will take time to undo the damage of months of screens this program has provided my son high interest books and fun upbeat supportive teachers who are inspiring him to keep reading

Grateful Parent

My child has been participating in Reading Programs since she was a preschooler She has taken classes online as well as in person through the program I am in awe of how strong she has become as a reader Her fluency has jumped leaps and bounds especially over the last year Though my child is entering first grade she is reading on a second grade level I know this is due largely in part to the Institute of Reading Development Their instruction has supplemented what she has learned in school if not expanded her traditional school lessons I am so thankful that I found this program and I look forward to my child continuing

Summer Reading Success

I enrolled my entering 2nd and 5th graders into the summer reading program and I m so glad I did Both kids really got a lot out of the classes homework and time spent reading And although it was summer break they both truly enjoyed the program My entering 2nd grader really needed the extra help and this program worked wonders for us I would highly recommend

Peer participation is great

My child feels like he is an actual classroom with peers who also read and participate Ms Hope is certainly a great morale booster It seems like the other children as well as my child are encouraged to read aloud and be proud
