On the 9th of July myself and my wife called into Ron Brooks Mansfield to look at a Toyota Aygo 1 0L xplay 58 plate that she really liked Now buying a car should be a happy exciting experience as pain free as possible and the salesperson in my opinion should try and make this take the least amount of time possible So when the salesperson first spoke to us the plan was for someone else to check over our PX fiat 500 whilst we took the Toyota a spin This did not happen and after your fiat has stone chips and a tyre is close to legal limit I was starting to get fed up The fiat is a 2014 plate Its bound to have stone chips I ve bought s loads of cars and never has anyone been this picky or even close After nearly 2hrs of being there we finally took the Toyota out and it was good and my wife liked it We d made it clear We d been offered 4 300 for the fiat elsewhere even with the 2 issues it had with 31000 mls on clock we thought this was a fair price Off the salesperson went to speak with the manager We d said that we d got 20mins left before we had to go so 2 and a half hrs total visit so 18 mins later the salesperson comes back with an A4 sheet of paper with the offer of 4 200 for our car Now I know we talking 100 quid here but are they taking the or what On the sheet they had added over 1000 pounds in other costs like paint protection and alloy wheel insurance I think the wheel insurance was about 300 quid The car had NO ALLOY WHEELS How on earth can you do this to customers It s gotta be a wind up Please don t write anything trying to deny this either because it was there in black and white I never clicked on about the alloy thing till after but did tell the salesperson that in my opinion the add ons and paintwork protection is a rip off As I have seen garages applying this stuff and it s the same stuff as diamond brite you can buy yourself for about 50 quid Some do a ceramic coating but this wasn t wat they were trying to get us to buy The salesperson wanted to go back to the manager and try and get The 100 quid for us Too late now coz we were already fed up so you ve lost a sale for 100 quid that if you d have not been greedy we d probably have bought it The salesperson said to my wife if I get you another 100 pounds will you sign for it now My wife said I m not being pressured I ll think about it now the salesperson said I m not pressuring you Really We will never go back and its a shame that the car sales business still have the same historical issues they have had stigma for over the years which does not in any way mean all garages are the same but makes me nervous and anxious about buying a car when it should never feel like that for the customer whose money you need

Absolutely shocking service I have been messed about and told lies by 3 staff ordered car told by 2 staff members the car was reserved for me then told car was sold but could get another in different colour then no car available the worst customer service ever treated appalling I am so upset with the way I have been treated worst car dealership experience I would advice avoiding this dealership

RON BROOKS Suzuki Mansfield I was driving down to view a car as arranged the day before and confirmed appointment on the same day 15 04 23 with a view to buy when I received an email to say they had sold to someone else Nobody rung or contacted me to ask if I wanted to put a deposit down to take it off sale There was no regard whatsoever for my existing appointment I had been in negotiations the day before 14 04 23 and was informed at 4 30pm that day that the car had been priced wrong and would be going up by 1000 the next day unless I bought it there and then without either seeing it or test driving the car The price was then changed on the Autotrader site that night to a price 1000 higher Not the best way to sell a car or gain trust and I feel that the car was never going to be sold to me especially at the previously agreed price When challenged it was confirmed that it had sold to someone who walked into the dealership that morning I assume this was at the new 1000 higher price No surprise then that they didn t want to honour my appointment based on the previous price and the price the car had been for the previous 7 days Disgusting way to treat a potential customer Jason and Toby need some retraining with regards to customer service and etiquette Very amateur and blatant disregard for prior arrangements I will go elsewhere and hopefully others will too I would rather deal with people who I can trust A shocking way to conduct a sale

I think before writing a review about a company you must wait until you taste the product and if it is worth 5 stars Unfortunately in August 2023 I gave a 5-star review to this dealer without knowing what would happen after To start the car has some errors that have cost me more than 1000 so far They sold me a 16000 used car faulty with issues that the warranty doesn t cover or at least that is what they said They made me pay for a Service plan of 30 every month that doesn t cover the services but according to the documents in theory this service plan covers is not this a joke It has been less than one year since I bought this car that is under warranty but somehow doesn t apply to my car My car has the two services that are supposed to be covered by the service plan and still they made me pay 330 for labor Maybe You think Is this true yes is true Do they want to refund the money or take responsibility Of course not Anything to get money from the customer they will sell you unexistent plans or insurances to avoid risks the gap time be careful they play with your fear and your ignorance until you will be entangled in a massive debt with Ronbrooks Mansfield Remember RonBrooks Mansfield is just a name for fancy car brands but that doesn t mean quality or professionalism They are professional of the trickery

Do not buy a used car from this dealership I recently purchased a used car and kept having electric faults it started with the fuel sensor so I had 3 months warranty and took it back to them to be fixed and all that they did was reset the battery and didn t even have a proper look at what was causing the issue 1 month later my warranty ran out and I had the same issue with the fuel sensor come back aswell as the speedometer dropping to 0mph when I got above 20mph my car then would not start up and I had to get it towed to Volkswagen and within 20 minutes of checking my car they found that a mileage blocker had been fitted to my car behind the dashboard and this was the reason for all the electric faults Volkswagen then told me that the car I had bought hadn t done 33 000 miles which is what my dashboard was saying it had actually done over 60 000 miles when they checked the memory of the car I got in touch with Ron Brooks Suzuki Mansfield and they told me they d done their relevant checks and there is nothing they can do about it to help me as I had now lost 5 000 now that I had found out the car I had bought had actually done over 30 000 miles more than they sold the car for absolutely shocking

Poor shopping experience
My sister visited ron brooks toyota ilkeston for test drive a 09 toyota aygo on 24th september 2022 she paid GBP500 deposit to buy it The sales consultant did not provide her with the T C and order forms after payment is made At that time she didn t notice the deposit is refundable or not Two days later my sister decided to buy another toyota approved car in wigan therefore she requested a refund of deposit from ron brooks ilkeston The sales consultant told my sister that the deposit was non-refundable While i asked two toyota dealers one in wigan and one in nottingham both said that in this case the deposit shall be refunded Therefore i helped my sister to email and use their online chating to request a refund from 28 september 2022 onwards More than a week the dealer sales consultant did not give any responds to us This is a really bad shopping experience and already give much pressures to my sister as a consumer Therefore i write this comment and wish the company can alert and provide some positive feedback

I had my Toyota serviced at Ron Brooks Ilkeston in September 2023 I was told the service technician diagnosed the air conditioning had a leak and I was not to use it because the compressor could fail and it would not be under warranty I was given the impression it would be fixed in the next service in September 2024 I went 10 months without air conditioning I took the car back to the service department in July 2024 and was initially told by a snooty lady from service that the cost would be over 900 I said err no it is under warranty She then came back with a different figure to cover the initial investigation of the fault but not the repair of the fault itself I said I would take it to Vertu Toyota Chesterfield as I live in Chesterfield She said well it will cost you more I did get it booked in at Vertu Chesterfield who charged a reasonable 144 including VAT Their investigation was very thorough and they could find no fault with the air conditioning Thank you Ron Brooks of Ilkeston for causing me to a Go 10 months without air conditioning and b Pay 144 for an investigation that was not needed I was so impressed by Vertu Toyota Chesterfield and their honesty that I decided to trade in my old car for a newer model for 13 500 - lost business to Ron Brooks Ilkeston

Double bad Service Department and customer service
My 2019 Suzuki Ignis developed corrosion on the steel wheels which were protected by wheel trims I mentioned this when I took it back due to wheel noise for the second time in a few weeks The service manger inspected the wheels while in the workshop all day and concluded incorrectly they were rusting due to kerb damage This was untrue There was no kerb damage only rust spots on the wheel trim protected wheel area I sent photos when I got home which they then used to start a successful warranty claim with Suzuki They didn t tell me they were doing this I waited 5 days to chase them up I left them a negative review on Facebook which they soon responded to via Facebook messenger saying it was very damaging and to give them a chance to investigate 10 days later after starting their investigation they still haven t got back to me despite me chasing The front wheels still are making a whining noise despite 2 days in the service department
