If I could have left 0 stars I would

If I could have left 0 stars I would The after sales service is awful I recently lost my dad and my brother and explained this to them My sisters and I wanted to buy my mother a rose named after my father as it was the first of his birthdays since he died The rose arrived with the bottom of the box broken and had clearly been taped back together by the delivery service On opening the box The pot was split open and all but two of the stems were snapped some in several places The rose buds were also no longer attached to any stems I immediately contacted the company They were not available by phone so I emailed The reply was to say it was the fault of the delivery which I agreed with in my original email They said not to worry the rose will come along nicely eventually I replied that they knew what it was for and it wasn t acceptable for them to expect us to give it to my mother in that condition or expect us to not want compensation They said return it but i would have to pay delivery costs and they would un name my father s rose I replied saying that I thought their attitude was cold and unsympathetic to our situation and I dont agree that i should incur any costs I explained that as the rose was named after my father my mother was upset to think they would take the name away Their reply glad to hear she wants to keep it best we can offer is delivery cost returned They would not accept that we had paid 48 for a flourishing rose and was left with a few sprigs by the time we cut it back From what I see If the rose arrives undamaged 5 stars If it s damaged 1 star so I guess their customer service is shocking if they have to deal with refunding or compensation Very sad
