Listen to your customers

Give other options for customers who are not comfortable using the Internet to claim without questioning them and trying to get them to change to claiming online

Simply Consult App

I can not make a comment on the Claims side of Simply Health as I never used this service but in terms of the GP Consult service it was very disappointing It is impossible to get an appointment with my own GP so I signed up to Simply Health to have access to a GP and all the benefits that it states on the Simply Health website After describing all my symptoms and the pain I was in the GP I spoke to in my consultation advised me to contact my own GP instead No prescriptions no real help with my symptoms This completely defeats the purpose of why I joined and have since cancelled my policy In terms of constructive criticism the way the GP Consult service is advertised it does not reflect the service you get realistically Do you get a fast appointment Kind of a day or so later Can you chose a GP Yes both male and female Is making an appointment easy on the app Yes it works really well But ultimately this does not replace or helps you in the same way as your own doctor It is simply more of a glorified version of the 111 service and if you are expecting more then you will be disappointed

I needed to speak to a human not a robot recently and it was especially annoying as initially it wasn t stated I was connected to a virtual assistant and secondly I had to make several attempts to bypass this assistant and speak to someone who could actually assist There should at least be options at the beginning of the call Most customers will know there s lots of helpful information on the website so when they call it s unlikely a virtual assistant will be of any use

complicated app and no explanation as to why some payments were refused Difficult to talk to someone in person

Refused claim

Not over happy with them had 6 thousand lens replacement with optical express thought I would be able to claim the 125 00 that I would normally claim for classes but it turns out not to be the case Anyway not letting that get me down as I now have perfect vision And the up side for them is they don t have to pay an amount towards my glasses in the future

I ve been with the company for many

I ve been with the company for many many years and have always been very happy with them until they went on line My first claim however I must say was flawless and quick although I had problems setting up my account initially I recently made another claim and inadvertently entered the wrong figure on the claim form which meant there was a 2 00 difference between the claim form and the submitted receipt sent twice I told them about this twice One half of the claim has been settled but without correcting the error of the 2 00 difference The second part of my claim same claim with two different policies is still being assessed but now with the wrong amount totally and an incorrect date This was correct initially Hence I ve explained again in another email I can t believe such a small problem is so difficult to rectify We ll see

I have submitted a claim a month ago

I have submitted a claim a month ago not heard anything on the process of claim instead asking for my date of birth and address to fill in the online when we call on the phone keeping for at least 30 minutes and the virtual assistant is of no use keep asking the same question and answer people calling on the phone to get an answer to solve the problem why should i keep my policy if it is of no use

Problems with using the app for making a claim

I recently made a claim using the app which I ve been encouraged to use by Simplyhealth but found it did not accept more than one date As I was claiming for 20 days radiotherapy the system did not allow me to put any more dates in I phoned the customer services for advice and was told to put in just one date and send via the photo link the schedule of the appointments which would show all the treatment dates and would be sufficient for the claim to be processed When I received an e mail saying my claim had been paid I was surprised to find that they only paid for one day I again phoned customer services and spoke to a different person who told me that should e mailed the claim with copies of the appointment dates as the automated system would not pickup more than one date Lets go back to the old paper claims as that worked perfectly well Clearly some of the staff don t know how the system works or does not work
