Good service but communication re length of waiting time over holiday period not great

The guys who work here and very nice and give you all the information you need so the service from that aspect was great However I felt that you were pretty overpriced and I wasn t happy at all with the clean of my watch I have a Vivienne Westwood watch which I came in to get my battery replaced I asked about the clean because it s a couple of years old and it hadn t been cleaned before so I thought it was worth checking out In total that cost me nearly 60 I was in a bit of a rush to get it sorted for going away so I just paid it but I felt that was really pricey for a new battery and a clean especially considering ge battery itself was about 40 When I went to collect the watch at a first glance it looked pretty shine and new Br it wasn t until I got home I realised that on the braclete there was still areas which had dirt and grime on them It may seem picky but when you are paying for a clean that s not something you expect to find especially when I was told the entire thig would be taken apart cleaned and then put back together It didn t seem like that had happened If I wasn t away the next day I would have taken it back so it s fair to say for the price I paid I was pretty disappointed with what I actually got

Great service but found it to be very expensive only had a strap adjustment 29-00 how can you justify this Brian

UPDATE Shortly after writing this review I received a call from the WATCH Lab They apologised for the error and rectified it without delay I now have the watch back and it is in full working condition I do appreciate this level of customer service and now feel confident to send more business their way in the future FIRST REVIEW I took my Tag Heuer to the store in York as the date had started to stick Was advised a 250 service was required but the watch would come back looking like new Four weeks later the watch comes back First off the above like new statement proved to be an exaggeration Scuffs on the casing were still present with only the strap appearing to have been cleaned Secondly the date issue the reason I took the watch to them in the first place has not been fixed Can t say I m impressed Staff were friendly but to be honest this counts for very little when they are unable to perform the task they allegedly specialise in

Rotary watch taken in initially for battery replacement but had some stones replaced Good service but expensive but it was convenient at the time

My watches are not as expensive as much the prices of batteries are I generally get it done at Timpsons Very very expensive I hope they last for two years as I been advised

Great service from the Reading based branch of the Watch Lab but they are only a receiving outlet of the item to be serviced Baum Mercier along with many other high value watch suppliers insist on their watches having replacement batteries only renewed by their own service centres Delays of many weeks just to have a watch battery replaced is totally unacceptable by today s standards In our case we had a gold Riviera model also serviced and the Watch Lab managed to get it back to us within 2 weeks Mapping Webb s London store another B M outlet quoted 5 -8 weeks Ridiculous waste of time if you need a simple battery replaced Always buy a self winding watch and it serviced occasionally - much better use of time and money
