Questionable Service - Focussed on Selling

I have been contacted by Top Quote as a result of a Legal General referral I would question why L G does this and of course it can only be because there are financial incentives at play to put a sales company in charge of providing financial advice I have a small life policy and I have now had three conversations with people at Top Quote Throughout they have- not listened - I say one thing - 15yrs 75k and they consistently are referring to 20-25yrs and 130k - the banter is not appreciated I am an intelligent human being - I don t need to be patronised - comments like we all want the best for our children Just soft sales talk to persuade you to buy - they said they would call and the call was over 30 mins late- like someone else below - the put be through to the manager - clearly the guy that has the better sales technique - why do you be-little your staff in this way I have to say that I would suggest that the FCA and L G listen in on the conversations that these people have It does not make great listening Usual poor practice from the Financial Service industry

Poor follow up

The initial discussion explanation and information given was good which led us to go on and take out two policies However the administration side was very poor and there were several errors on the paperwork when it was populated Despite telephone discussions emails and attempts to rectify the mistakes online we were not assured that some of them had been resolved as we could not access the forms particular to Top Quote online our policies were with L G Although we were satisfied with L G and how they rectified the errors they could providing proof that it had been done Top Quote unfortunately didn t do the same which led us to cancelling the two policies we had taken out through them

Not happy since L G passed over my policy to TopQuote Who are now apparently my Broker according to the recent text I got I dont want nor did I ever ask them to be my Broker I did get the usual introductory call a few years ago from a very polite knowledgeable lady who initially said it was just to update my details fair enough However after that she was wanting to go into policy details and asking questions outwith the usual updating of details I believe trying to ultimately change the policy re-broker my existing policy It was at this point I terminated the call as that is just wrong I wonder if they are not happy with the commission on the current policy Not aware on how to officially remove myself from TopQuote I dont recall ever asking the young lady either But would like to as I feel their intention was to get me to change my policy and this was really not the best start with a new client

They took my policy over from Legal And

They took my policy over from Legal And General so rang to make sure they had my correct and up to date details then tried his best to talk me into extending the number of years I said I was happy with what I had so all ended well Since then I have had two more calls wanting exactly the same information The last one being today Ok the policy ends when we are 78 and she asked what our plans were after that age I said I d think about that nearer the time if we are still here She said we d be lucky to get insurance at that age In these times when we are struggling with bills anyhow why does she think we can still afford to take out extra insurance that we may not need She has no idea whatsoever how much we have in savings and investments If we keep getting these calls the existing policy will be cancelled
