I received a Cuba Light Dining Table

I received a Cuba Light Dining Table and Large Sideboard totalling nearly 800 on 3rd November 2022 The table is chipped on one side The large sideboard on top has wood filler and clear varnish in a large wood knot the filler doesn t match the colour of the wood and in places only has the varnish leaving it looking like it s not filled at all The boxes these arrived in smell bad real bad The lovely customer service representative took advice from her manager and informed if I dispose the boxes I m going to be charged as they need returned in their original boxes as they don t have spare boxes and can t sell items without the box which suggests these goods are getting resold again in these boxes I think I will end up with the charge and pay for their new boxes as this smell is unbearable and I m in the unknown of when they intend to collect and give me my money back I m informed they have me on a partially planned delivery route starting 17th November 2022 although they are currently awaiting orders in my area to be able to fulfil a delivery route and a date for my collection This means your order and taking your money will be prioritised the collection of items and giving you your money back will just need to wait until more people place orders with them Positives - the company is transparent regarding their priorities Regretting choosing this company

Christine owns this company

I bought a 550 item delivery guy would get five stars but the service from the company is what I m rating and the item arrived damaged with loose handles I sent pictures videos back and forth with customer service women came across as snotty and I allowed them to put things right The manager Christine clearly doesn t run her business very well she offerd me I0 as a goodwill gesture after i made it clear she should offer me a goodwill gesture to keep me as a customer and avoid any negative consequences well let s say 10 was an insult for an item that cost 550 these are high end goods all I got from Christine was excuse after excuse this argument went on for a while and because of that I made it clear that I need to put this to bed refund me the 10 plus I want my delivery cost refunded and I will never do business with you again and I did make it very clear that I will leave a true negative review on trustpolite about the poor customer service you have provided it s her lost because did tell her that I still need to buy the large sideboard another 550 so her loss not mine as I found another company selling the same item made in India and delivery to the UK for 100 cheaper that what her company is selling for haha I would never have looked else we re if I was treated properly and given a proper goodwill gesture she has lost out on a life long customer an another perhase from me I would avoid buying from this company because if anything with delivery is wrong you may not get the customer service you deserve customer is always right look after your customers and your customers look after you very bad business management actually things happen for a reason and because of there bad customer service I found the same item cheaper elsewhere online so thanks for not treating right this review could have been better than a 1-star review but you failed to provide me with the service I expect

Terrible terrible quality - Zero stars if possible

Ordered a TV unit and sideboard TV unit was the incorrect item It was very poorly finished scratched and dented The packaging had obviously been repackaged badly so it had obviously been out returned then sent out again When I put this to the company they said very adamantly that their warehouse would never do this We had to wait 2 weeks for them to be back in our area so they could replace the item for the correct non defective one We then ordered a small bookcase and drawer unit to match what we already purchased Both items were defective and damaged One of the drawers had actually been nailed through the face in an attempt to rectify the severely damaged drawer which it certainly did not and sent back out - with a signed quality inspection sticker on it We no longer thrust this company to delivery what has been ordered nor supply goods in a fit proper undamaged and defect free manner We have asked for a full refund and immediate collection of the items The deliberate supply of defective items by this company and the associated time we have spent in taking delivery repackaging defective items waiting for collection and redelivery amounts to loss under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 and will be reported as such to Trading Standards and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to the Credit Card company for issuing a full refund for the mis-selling of goods if this company does not issue a full and immediate refund I wish I could share some pictures of just how bad a state these items have arrived but Trustpilot doesn t allow that What I would say is that it is hard to believe that twice in a row is a coincidence especially considering the signed Quality Inspection sticker on a drawer that is clearly severely damaged then a nail knocked through the face by way of an ineffectual repair and sent out as OK for customer delivery Obviously we will not be using this company again and would have given zero stars if that was possible

THIS COMPANY REFUSES REPLACMENTS OR REFUNDS FOR BAD ITEMSI purchased a table and 4 chairs less than a year ago the table was very nice and sturdy however the same cannot be said about the chairs They were good at first but as they ve been used they have become wobbly and no longer feel very safe One chair leg now less than a year later has snapped at the base and is completely ruined i ve had a few chairs over the years and they have all lasted a long time so i know it s nothing we did The company completely REFUSED a replacement or refund and blamed us If i were you I d opt on a more reliable company and you d get something better quality for price

Disappointment

The service was good the quality of the wood is very good but I m dissapointed in the finishing touches of the furniture Our table looks like it has a funny animal in the center has a fine crack on top of it and it doesn t look rustic like in the picture Overall okish we re going to keep it but probably will not buy again from this company

Great furniture but don t have old fashioned customer service

Update Oh dear I still like their furniture and their delivery drivers are helpful However as is often the way you don t really know about a company till something goes wrong The last time I used them I had paid in advance I got a phone call telling me I had to pay COD and the agent was just talking at me not to me without stopping telling me I had to pay this sum I tried to get a word in edgeways but she wouldn t stop So I had to SHOUT to tell her to stop so I could tell her I had paid I did not think a lot of this so I sent an email complaining The agents manager dealt with this very badly and she appeared more concerned that I had upset the agent by complaining I no longer think this is such a great company as they cannot cope with customers who have a legitimate complaint I have used this company 1st via ebay and now direct via the internet I am a big fan of Indian furniture eg Sheesham or Mango wood in particular and this company tend to be cheaper than the others We had three large pieces of furniture delivered today having ordered direct and the delivery driver was brilliant You do have to pay for an unwrap service which we did and the driver delivered the three items right into our living room and put them where we asked I also found their customer service excellent getting immediate replies to email queries and a very helpful young lady Anastacia when I rang It is quite unusual to have proper customer service nowadays They also do very nice furniture although they don t always have everything in stock but that may be due to the current Covid situation

Started well

What started as Superb turned poor very quickly after I purchased 6 items from company 1 was out of stock but offered an alternative and 2 delayed items were sent quickly great customer service superb quality furniture packaged exceptionally well UPDATE Last 2 items arrived again super friendly and on time Drivers were amazing can t fault them at all HOWEVERAfter opening a floating shelf we found the mount to be very short in comparison of depth of shelf screws provided did not hold bracket to wall and shelf itself cracked when I enquired I was told to buy better fixings or a piece of wood to support it from b and q Bought radiator screws and yes shelf still drops forward despite wall and bracket dead level waiting for a response as supposedly guaranteed for a year but they seem very reluctant to help now they have my 1500 Update Refunded shelf with store voucher purchased a table which arrived well packed and on time

My order of a Sheesham wood long-john coffee table arrived exactly on time although it had some damage I forwarded an image of the damage and the same day Trade Furniture contacted me to arrange a replacement which arrived 3 days later again on time and delivered by such friendly and professional drivers I ve already made a second order for additional furniture from the range the quality is fabulous I would 100 recommend this company

Elegant sideboard

I have purchased the Geo Mango 140cm Large Sideboard after being let down by another company After seeing some reviews I opted for the unwrapped delivery to avoid hustle if anything was damaged I should have not worried - the sideboard was delivered well packaged no damage However I expected the packaging to be taken away with this more expensive option - not included Something that wasn t stated on the website and it was a bit of a let down Another missed point - missing pegs for internal shelves None were included which was surprising Matching shelf holders was difficult as the pre-drilled holes are not a standard size Sideboard itself is made from beautiful wood and it s sturdy It feels elegant and timeless
