Response after 6 months
The train was delayed more than 3 hours in April In May I submitted a compensation request After 6 months in November I have only received a response that 50 will be reimbursed I am happy with the compensation but it is of course not normal that they keep customers waiting for so long In my country this would literally be arranged within a week

Never again Better hitchhiking
I had a terrible experience with Trenitalia recently First the staff at the Capalbio station and on the train were really unfriendly when I needed help which made me feel unwelcome Then my train was delayed for a long time without any given reason messing up my whole schedule And when I tried to ask for a refund the process was super confusing and took forever with no one seeming to want to help me out I hope Trenitalia will change its entire staff soon

Trenitalia employees in Naples Garibaldi station on August 22nd were incredibly rude When asking which direction to go in for us to reach the correct tracks they kept saying Next one which only led us in a circle as all of their answers had been the same When returning to the original agent he got angry and threatened us as if he was going to hit us telling us to leave By far the worst experience we had as tourists in the Amalfi coast Naples

Been waiting for almost 2 hours 17 15 19 00 just to hear from someone it got canceled hopped on another train just for it to stayy still for 20 fockung minuteseven though it says it would depart at 19 12 its 19 30 rn dont recommend its dogwater like actually gave me a fookung asss experience in Italy

The absolute worst costumer service imaginable Our train got canceled because of the strike back in April we have filed multiple requests of refunds and complaints called them dozens of times and still no refund Would give 0 stars if I could

Not a descent train company
Over the past 6 months I have been travelling regularly back and forth from Switzerland to Italy I have not seen a single train on time in Italy and often delay is in the 30-60 min range outside of that regular discomfort and need to reschedule my trip on the Switzerland side when going back home I have not get a single refund credits for the train with delay 30 min despite all the claims Defnitely the worst train company in continental Europe

I m Australian and was as having difficulty purchasing tickets so called the Australian office It s located in the Phillippines and most of the staff had no idea did not respond to emails they first sent me and Letty in particular would just hang up on me Finally when I finally purchased my tickets I was charged 3 times for 3 different tickets I received one email with just one ticket when I called up again about what may have happened I got hung up on again I havent travelled yet and am nervous about it

Our Trenitalia Geneva to Venice train was cancelled Two months later we have still not received a refund for the Euro 400 for the tickets despite filling in refund forms and sending reminders Customer services say We do not know when the refund will take place Wait another 30 days and re-submit your forms Avoid Trenitalia

Tourist trap on trenitalia
Took a normal train from torino to milan and bought my tickets with trainline app I did not know we need to check in double time on the app in order for the ticket to be validated Fast forward I got on the train and showed my QR codes to the conductor whom than informed my ticket wasn t validated Mine you I just got on the train and the ticket on my app shows the exact time He then told me in terrible broken English that I am not allowed to validated my ticket anymore once I am on board I tried to explained that I didn t know that the app requires double check in for the ticket to be validated Without empathy he shouted at me and demanded me to pay a fine I was charged with a hefty 45 plus another ticket price Despite knowing I was a foreign tourist I felt humiliated as everyone on my carriage thought I was a free loaded but infact I bought my ticket at the right time for the right train Shame on trenitalia Such a horrid experience on treating your guests Mind you there was no announcement from Torino train stations that you need to validate and check in your tickets They kept insisting there was the bloody announcement in English Your own train controllers can t even speak English

This company behaves outrageously and the Italian government should be stepping in We bought tickets from Paris to Venice in July 2023 In October 2023 we were told the train would not be running because of a landslide outside Fr jus tunnel We were also told we could not claim a refund until the train s supposed departure on 22 November Since that time I have filled in the claims form phoned emailed and Instagram d constantly and STILL - some six months after paying over 300 and two months after asking for a refund - have not received our money back All refunds should be issued automatically for non-functioning trains Having to go through hours and hours of chasing to get back money that is being held ILLEGALLY is beyond unacceptable Shame on you Trenitalia
