It was twelve months ago that mum came into Grosvenor Manor Originally for two week s emergency care but unfortunately mum had to stay permanently due to dementia It s the hardest decision any family will have to make but the love and support from everyone has quelled those fears Our family can t praise the staff highly enough Ann the Home Manager runs a brilliant team who all should be very proud of themselves I can t believe how all the staff know every resident by name even though they may not have direct contact with them The rooms are superb with a wet room to compare to any 5 hotel Residents do nothing but eat They have a good choice of meals which includes a cooked breakfast and three courses for lunch dinner if desired There is morning tea coffee and a biscuit as well as afternoon tea coffee with a piece of cake If residents are still hungry at 8pm they can a light supper There are morning and afternoon activities covering a very wide range of interests Outside singers regularly visit the centre as well as children from local schools and nurseries Also there are regular visits out My family can t praise the staff enough Every resident is treated with respect and care and are shown true affection It is not only residents that the staff support but families as well and believe me I have needed that support over the last twelve months as mum has given us several frights with her health Very very well done Grosvenor Manor
