This is a total con job People are giving donations because they want to help veterans The vehicles themselves are not going to veterans at all There are too many third-party vendors involved These cars are sold at auctions to profit dealers Very little of the proceeds actually goes to veterans

They Picked up the car in August Said there was a title issue and called me which didn t happen Car had no lien or debt Wife and I signed the title and conveyed Something feels fishy

I didn t know the value was only 500 until after you picked it up I needed to pull the stereo exchange the new tires with old ones and keep the spare set of rims with winter tires I m certain you would have still come and collected the car for the same tax letter

Confusing process poor communication still working on resolving with the dmv tow company was put down as the donor I ll sell to carvana for 1 next time to save the trouble

It took a couple weeks for the car to be picked up and I didn t know beforehand that the cars just go to an auto auction where I don t think much money would be raised it s just a quick turnover to get the money The car itself is of no help to a veteran

The tow guy was rude on the phone because I wasn t available to meet him during his time I also kept getting calls and emails from Vehicles For Veterans after the vehicles was already picked up The emails and calls kept coming for several weeks asking me why I haven t donated my vehicle

I had to call 3x to follow-up after completing all the online internet information for the donation After the first follow-up call to the Vehicles for Veterans main phone I was instructed to call the tow company in charge of the pick up It took 2more calls to the towing company to get finally get someone to come pick up the car While I m happy the sale proceeds went to a good cause the experience wasn t a positive one

I was shocked to learn my car DID NOT GO TO A VETERAN Would I recommend you NEVER

I wish I had known

Never thought trying to do something good could be so painful Poor communication multiple calls over several weeks to get car picked up and still no receipt or acknowledgment that we even donated the car to Vets- and it was a running Jeep
