Absolutely horrified with the customer

Absolutely horrified with the customer service from Vintage Sofa Co Please be aware they delete and block people on Facebook if they comment they need help or have a problem with their sofa and are just going round in circles with their customer service You will only see the comments they allow and don t delete so not a true reflection So all looks absolutely amazing and I fell into this trap and purchased through Facebook Paid nearly 4000 for a sofa and chair Leather is all scratched some very deep one huge scratch across the front cushion of the armchair they have agreed to replace this but not until next year The other damage they will send a technician to assess If you wish to rely on your legal rights through distance selling and right to return due to unacceptable state of the furniture- they tell you your order is bespoke when it is in fact not it s just made to order I have the exact same sofa many others have purchased and in fact other companies sell - same dimensions same colour same fabric They are very polite and say yes you can return your sofa but because it s bespoke you can return the sofa at your own cost but only for a credit note they will not refund you your money Then they say because a technician hasn t viewed the sofa it s classed as a change of mind Oh my Gosh honestly we are horrified 27 emails later and they just basically keep saying Nope they are bespoke you can t have your money back you can have a credit note or a technician to assess Please Please believe this review and make sure you don t buy through Facebook or if you desperately want to buy make sure the sofa is in stock not being made by their manufacturers as they will call it bespoke and if you have any issues with your sofa you will be stuck with it or a credit note and having all the problems I am In no circumstances will they refund you your cash Also get everything in writing as they go back on their word what they say on the phone to you Please be warned I can t leave a negative review on facebook now because I ve been blocked for asking for help on one of their posts Absolutely shocking I m still waiting for them to explain how what I purchased is bespoke and not made to order

False description

Like many I was persuaded by the truly extraordinary number of 5 reviews here My experience may help others When my Hepworth Chesterfield sofa in Gold Spice Velvet arrived it did not reflect the online images and YouTube video shown The entire back panel was a different colour to the rest of the sofa a light beige so much paler that the sofa looked two-tone The fabric itself was thin with barely any of the plush nap you d expect from the luxurious their word velvet advertised Indeed you d be hard pressed to call it velvet at all Vintage Sofa Co said a return wasn t possible because my order was bespoke They use this word all the time and they use it wrongly to distinguish between their in-stock items and the items they order and get from a third party manufacturer in a limited range of sizes materials and colours That is not bespoke not made to the unique one-off measurements materials and colours that a customer individually specifies When I pointed out that their misuse of bespoke constituted false description they insisted well it was made specially for you What disingenuous drivel Imagine choosing an off-the-peg shirt from a shop and being told it was made specially for you Retailers often like to tell you something is their policy For policy read preference It s no more than that If you find yourself in this situation persist I did Eventually they agreed to accept the sofa as a return if I paid the delivery charge To guard against any allegations of it being damaged in transit I called Vintage Sofa Co s own couriers Their charge would be 150 I asked Vintage Sofa to arrange and was told it would cost 180 That got reduced What didn t was the 25 re-stocking charge they demanded amounting to 500 If this happens to you research the legality of restocking fees online eg Martin Lewis s Money Saving Expert A costly lesson learned don t trust online advertising but worth it not to have such a poor quality lump of furniture staring at me every day

We spent around 3k on a oskar sofa just

We spent around 3k on a oskar sofa just had it one month and we noticed that the stitching was threading away from the sofa I am absolutely gutted to spend that kind of money but only to receive poor workman ship on the product The sofa was purchased to be showed in our house abroad which cost extra to ship the sofa I am absolutely dissapointed to have the sofa for around a month and this happens Given my opinion on the workmanship and how they make out and make you feel that there sofa are one of a kind it makes me think that actually they are the same as another sofa company on yhe High Street and you can buy sofa with better workmanship on them be careful watch what you buy thanks for replying but we already done that we reached out to the that team u message because I exported it there is nothing u can do but you could of at least offered a discount on my other purchases I made with you I ve been following ur company for just over 2 yrs and what a complete waste of my money I might as well of thrown my money in the bin I feel let down at least you could of apologised offered some sort of discount Georgina knows already im outside the country and showed her what I wanted the oskar sofa was a complete let down faulty and still they sent it

My stunning sofa

My sofa is stunning I love it I would recommend this company can t do enough for you They have always made sure that all the products that I have ordered have been of the finest quality and have arrived within the time scale I would just like to thank them for their amazing attention to detail

Legs fell off due to faulty manufacture

I have had an armchair for about 18 months From the beginning the legs did not sit straight but my tile floor is not level so I kept trying it in different places But not long ago I noticed the legs were even more wonky I rolled the sofa up and the legs fell off I contacted the company and they sent a technician who said the fixings had Ben put in backwards and the chair had always been unstable and in danger of dropping its legs The company responded to me when they had the verdict offering me an in stock in a different colour or a long wait of 8 - 10 weeks for a replacement I have asked for my money back but they won t They then agreed to give me a Milo chair instead since it was the only one in stock in the green I agreed even though it is an x display They then contacted me and said they made a mistake and thought I had paid more for my original chair and the difference in price meant they could not after all give me the Milo chair So they won t refund and the replacement is not in a reasonable time so I will have to seek advice about small claims court It is disturbing to be treated this way They say they want their customers to be happy and they say their stock is built to last a lifetime so they should follow through

Really wish I had of seen there reviews before purchasing from this company Seems to be the same problem over and over again from there after sales team All sweetness when your buying but when there sofa is faulty there customer service is absolutely horrendous Bought a 3 seater and 2 seater and the foam backs have collapsed on both after a few months and these sofas are only used at the weekends Told me to keep plumbing and dressing the sofa lol Asked for the foam backs to be replaced with a stronger back but they refused Absolute rubbish Said they would send out technician but won t change the foam backs so what s the point If your looking good quality sofa and great after sales team please please Avoid Avoid Avoid Updated 28 10 24No were on your adverting does it state these are fibre backs and no were on your advert does it state I would have to keep plumbing them to keep there shape everytime I sit on it If that had of been advertised I would of never bought this rubbish and they are not fit for purpose There is 12 months warranty on these sofas so I have ask you to change the foam to a more firmer foam so they don t collapse everytime I sit on the sofa and stop mentioning a technician to come if he can t change the foam backing please can you collect your faulty sofa and refund myself Your not trying to fix the problem at all If you would look after your customers your would have returning customers

So upset I did try to talk to use about it but I didn t get no where I was looking forward to my bright pink sofa and when it came it was nothing like the picture I waited longer than expected I ordered middle October was told it will come middle November and received about 23rdIt s crazy because this sofa is completely different colour to what I see on the picture it also came with a mark on it The delivery men were also very rude when they collected as they forgot the cushions then I had to stay in to wait for a curior to collect them also it took nearly 3 weeks for them to collect the sofaI was then charged another 96 on top of 75 all delivery s so I 171 I saved hard for a new sofa I actually cried it s been a hard year and alot of bereavement and I genuinely didn t expect all of this especially after them being on rich house poor house clearly not bothered it was your mistake and don t understand How people need to save up for stuff What was supposed to be exciting has made me feel stressed and upset the colour of the pink Albert uis like a purple pink wine colour but it was more for an older lady I think i dont think I should of paid 171 in delivery for your mistakes and a stained sofa well I ve learnt my lesson It s a really sad day that you think I didn t like the colour it was completely different to the picture and I never said I d destroy anything so thank god I sent everything back and did my bit im a good person and clearly you lot would say anything to make it look good what a shame I wasted 170 on nothing greedy company Im just starting the truth you already taken all that money off me what an unprofessional reply Oh well it s done now you gained nothing when really you should done the decent thing and actually refunded me the balance instead you ignored me and then offered me 30 out of 170 atleast I now what your company is now it s been terribly stressful loosing a loved one I believe in karma we get what we give out and you was unfair end of I ve added to the photo of the real colour on the bright pink Albert now so people can see I ve got 15000 follower on another platform I ll be posting there to

All was great until the sofa collapsed after 14 months They kept referring me to the manufacturers 12 month guarantee and said I had to pay up front for them to inspect it despite me sending numerous photos I spend 3K with them and would expect the sofa to last more than 14 months Im now taking it up with the Ombudsman AVOID

visited their impressive showroom in the Halifax area and impressed with the range of suites furnishings Purchased a 3 piece suite through the 0 PayPal scheme However on receipt things went down hill from there on Within 3 days of use issues with the seat foam where apparent We gave vintage sofa an opportunity to resolve the issue which to be fair they were perfectly prepared to do However over a period of 5 months 3 visits of their approved technician and 3 replacement sets of cushions all of which failed to resolve what was a quality issue we advised Vintage sofa that we wished to return the suite for a full refund under the consumer rights act From this point on we received what can only be described as reticence and procrastination a stance that given the time scale a credit or an alternative where our only option in complete contradiction to the CRA After countless emails advice from citizens advise a strong stance in furtherance of our claim it was agreed to the refund 3 months later we received the funds again after 4 weeks of chasing As a supposedly quality retailer this is not the way to address issues of poor quality and lengthy delays especially when it s accepted by them that the goods where not fit for purpose

so not purchase from this company 3200 paid for a sofa and chair 3 weeks in all sagging creases and looks like it s been jumped all over one part hasn t been sat on and yet it s all crumpled and sagged their response is disgustingly and then they go and block your calls and communication because frame is fine basically the material it s tough how do you plump something that s not sat on exactly as for rich house poor house we shall see because i m more than happy to take this to the media i will be contacting my payment method and pulling back the money do not purchase because any problems even when less than a month old they don t want to know the pictures you sent was of the springs a frame the issues is with the rubish fillings the fabric is baggy on the frame the under is razor sharp staples all stuck out be honest you ve sold a suite for 3200 that s all baggy kiss shaped and looks like tat from a car boot you did not offer a second inspection do not lie about that more than happy to share the images of the awful suit 3 weeks in the home faults reported and the report you sent to be couldn t be read as i ve said the images are not of the cushions most don t fit to the suit and all you want to say of fluff them up all the time you will not be keeping my hard earned money and leaving me with this rubish you ve sent that s for sure 6 million turn over a year clearly all about profit and not about customer service utter greed you did block me again another lie i will be taking this further so hold on
