This company is a complete fraud
This company is a complete fraud Like others I backed them in kickstarter for the complete package I never received my rowing attachment When I contacted customer service I was told they would check with the shipper As expected no response I asked them to just send me the rowing attachment I paid for and the response from customer service was they were sorry they couldn t help me and they were just closing my ticket Have never experienced this kind of poor service where a company just didn t care about their customers and early company backers Stay far far away from this company Considering filing a complaint with the state s attorney s office The company is located in California and incorporated in Delaware I will sent a note to Luke Tipple the founder but as of this writing had not heard back I recommend anyone aggrieved to file with the CA state consumer protection bureau as well as the state s attorneys office

Do NOT recommend - deeply regret this purchase
I ordered my rower unit in April of 2021 I have been understanding of the delay some to do with Whipr itself others out of their control I was excited when I received the free handles a few weeks ago I have yet to receive the rest of my order and have an email out to customer service though I m not hopeful I did not receive more than one tracking number which is what they re claiming is happening with multiple boxes It is obvious their email responses are mostly canned answers and at this point I just want my money back I should have spent the extra couple hundred dollars for a concept 2 rower that I would have had months ago Definitely do not recommend

Pre-bankruptcy scam
I ordered a rowing accessory listed as in-stock in November to take advantage of a pre-Xmas special discount 2 months later I have received no update though the company is offering huge discounts again

This is a review of negative 5 This has been a terrible company that has just taken my money Citing that they don t have the profit margin to refund my when shipping costs came in as higher that what I payed for the unit I was advised Sept 3rd 2021 that I would have a couple of choices with what to do if not willing to pay the very expensive shipping fee that I would have refund options This is extremely poor business practice And regardless of thier comment on profit margin they have TAKEN 400 CDN of my money and provide absolutely zero service to me as a customer That is a profit margin of 100 I received NOTHING from whipr

Hardware works software does not Firmware 1 07 newest for 3-4 months now does not track distance power rows minute correctly sometimes not even time You can pull on it all you want numbers won t budge I made 3 tickets each time they said they are aware of problems but 0 solutions If i wanted a brick with erg function i could have went for a cheaper product The whole strava bluetooth tracking is bulls top to bottom Don t believe me Search for their firmware upgrade article and LAUGH at what the operation entails It s clearly a product made by novices in anything software related

I spent 1300
I spent 1300 and was only sent half the product package This was many months ago My order was placed April 2021 They gave me a tracking number for 2nd package whose label was created in November but nothing ever shipped I have spent so much time trying to resolve this but they continue to give me the runaround and not provide any resolution

Pretty pathetic customer service After 10 months I received one of two boxes of my order estimated delivery was stated as April 2021 but delivered in January 2022 I ordered the kayak full setup but did not get the row accessory or kayak paddle These were supposed to arrive in separate box I have been asking and asking for last 7 days on their online help page but so far crickets No response at all to 3 separate queries Doesn t look like they will be around for long I ll have no choice but to file complaints with BBB etc but don t see this company survivingPostscript - to reply to Whipr response both packages were assigned the same tracking number which doesn t make sense as they were not delivered at same time

Whipr is going under
Whipr is rumored to be on the ropes and will soon be out of business They chalk it up to a litany of woes shipping supply chain etc But the real reason is non-existent customer service I had a gift card that wasn t honored and opened a support ticket First response ignored and the ticket closed Then they said they would find an answer for me Didn t happen For some reason my second support ticket was closed again Opened yet another one and still haven t heard back Whipr is already dead and it s much deserved Treating your customers like crap and wasting their valuable time is not a recipe for a successful business Good riddance I m donating my shoddy equipment and taking the write-off Screw Whipr and good riddance

Kickstarted this project - waited close to two years for the unit to arrive and it never did Had to reach out to customer support multiple times and each time they would ask for more money The company used COVID as an excuse for not getting units to customers who had already paid for them They basically held my 600 USD hostage for close to two years Finally after asking for a tracking number updates on where my unit was they just cancelled my order and refunded my money with no warning request from me to do so explanation Horrible business horrible customer support no accountability it s everyone else s fault but Whipr s Don t do business with this fraud of a company
