The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because tof their choice of courier Parcel Force do not confirm actual delivery day and if you re not in they just leave the bottle outside your front door 1 It is expensive to be lying outside 2 It is alcohol and requires a signature other than that all good

Process fine charges too high

Website and auction process is clear On the whole I prefer your approach to setting end times for each lot rather than delaying the whole auction for hours as some sites do Packaging is great and delivery is quick - generally better than other sites Shipping cost for a single bottle is very expensive since you don t offer storage to hold off shipping until more bottles are acquired 15 commission is too high If other sites can do 10 so should you One star off for that

Good company high commissions

I guess the buyer commissions are highest in the UK ended up paying more than current market price for some bottles not knowing that clearly in advance Apart of that well organized All the other whisky auction websites I m buying from charging 10 plus VAT buyer commission Whisky Auction is charging 15 VAT It was my mistake to consider they were charging the same amount like others and not reading the explanation on the website in advance I can also recommend to add tracking link for shipped bottles

Enjoyable auction

I enjoyed the recent auction where I took my first attempt at bidding for spirits after selling via this medium previously I knew that more experienced and tech-savvy bidders would beat me at the last moment but still came out with reasonably priced items and was delighted with the fairly priced delivery charges I shall bid again

Great auction experience poor delivery

Great auction experience but let down by Parcel-Force lack of communication no card through door to instruct new date or where parcel left Finally delivered 4 days later and asked driver why no card through door he replied none left need to get more Poor effort for a paid service

Great choice reliable company

It would be better to be able to see reserve prices or to have a traffic light system when one is approaching reserve level this site has some features superior to comparable big whisky auction sites in the filter features but would be even better if you could search for whisky in age bands like 20-29 years It is too cumbersome to look individually through 8-10 thousand bottles to see bottling year for a 20-29 year old bottle which is the present filter on offer

Do not like the payment system for sold bottles

Did not like having to chase for payment But also do not like the fact that Whisky auction makes more money when payments are late from buyers yet passes none of that penalty to the seller and probably earns interest on the sellers held payment Working on 5 interest it soon adds up on large sums held Also a lot of your competitors do not charge sellers a commission

Always had a good experience If there are questions they always respond very quickly Just wish they would expand their services to store bottles purchased also

Packing for delivery

Packing for delivery especially cardboard boxes has to be done properly The boxes need to be folded flat and the bottles placed in a air bubble package Not put the bottles into the actual cardboard boxes thus damaging them while putting them packaging into bigger boxes for transit Furthermore if your auction house offered 0 sellers commission you would get more sellers selling on your site just saying as a regular seller
