I made the mistake of answering a cold

I made the mistake of answering a cold call and spoke to a polite and professional man who got me to sign up for their service I was told they work for the national lottery I signed up I then thought about it and called the customer car line and cancelled the people were again polite polite I was told I would get a call from the cancellation team This didn t happen but a cold call came through from the sales team I answered thinking it would be the call I was expecting I explained that I had cancelled the day before and I was then told you can t make the decision to cancel if you haven t tried the service out If I tried the service out It would have cost 162 00 as I would have been out of my 14 day cooling off period The sales person kept pressing the point I shouldn t cancel because most people stay subscribed because they are winning and they regularly have 4 and 5 figure winners I explained I had canceled and didn t want to carry on I explained I was also vulnerable as I am autistic I tried making the point I was not going to make money with this by saying if I did this and I lose will you give me a 1000 they obviously wouldn t A manager later accused me of trying to bribe them I said I didn t want to speak with them as I had asked for the subscription to be cancelled I was now wondering if it was All he would say is I should keep the subscription as people are winning I asked to speak with his manager A nice woman whodidnt see any problem so I spoke to her manager who accused me of trying to bribe them He said it was OK to treat people like this as they are trained to sell I made the point of saying you should only have to say no once and that they shouldn t keep pressurising you The manager said he would look into it and hung up To say they work with the national lottery they don t show their logo anywhere I guess it is because they aren t affiliated and commercial syndicates are against the rules From my experience I would recommend people stay away It may not be a scam but they use some sly methods Just like double glazing salesmen of the past They never took no for an answer The customer service dept has since contacted me and said the have listened to the calls and were very concerned at how the people reacted and the matter was being looked in to I have updated my reviewed in response to there response Which was good

Economical with the truth - BEWARE

I was called by this company and the lady who spoke to me told me that the cost was 54 per month to be in a syndicate of 20 for the National Lottery 130 lines on Wednesdays and 130 lines on Saturdays and on Euromillions 10 lines on Tuesdays and 10 lines on Fridays I wanted to think about this but I was told don t worry you have 14 days to cancel I could see early on that 20 people wouldn t pay in enough to fund that many lines per week I told the lady that I had previously been with 150winners com which had 150 people per syndicate and in a year with them I won less than 10 10 was the minimum winnings you could withdraw She said we are much better than that Anyway when the letter from them came in I found out that the syndicates VARIED in size from 20 to 500 Quite a difference 20 people at 54 per month pay in 1080 but 500 people at 54 per month pay in 27 000 The cost of the tickets per month is 1170 x 2 2 340 plus Euromillions 90 x 2 50 225 Total 2 565 So in a syndicate of 500 they are making a staggering 24 435 to pay their costs or a syndicate of 20 as promised they would be losing 1 485 just on the tickets I wrote to them asking exactly how many people would be in a syndicate and got the same answer 20 to 500 so at that point I decided to cancel my direct debit on my online banking and then wrote to them by email and cancelled my subscription which was accepted as I was just inside the 14 days luckily I was wondering why they seemed more interested in sending the terms of the deal in the post rather than instantly by email and it would seem to me that by post it gives you less time to discover the truth about the syndicate sizes This could be a good deal but I was not prepared to risk being in a syndicate of 500 or close to that hence I cancelled I never expected to be in a syndicate of 20 for that many tickets even a syndicate of 100 probably doesn t make them much profit after their costs are deducted They could if they wanted to prove the true size of their syndicates but my guess is most are closer to 500 than 20 I am giving them 2 stars as they did allow me to cancel very easily but I wouldn t recommend this company based on these figures

Scam or Not

I received a letter headed Your 20 National Lottery Lines completely free I had to phone 0800 number to secure free lottery lines I phoned I was told I would get email with my personal lucky numbers to play UK Lotto syndicate on Wed 15 Feb He said I would be notified 14 days later if I win He had already asked my name address date of birth and email address He then went on to explain about taking out extra 1260 lines per month and a bit more info I said I was not wanting to give bank details over the phone I said my details are already on Lottery website He said this was different as it was Your Lottery Service He continued trying to convince me and was quite insistent that I agree When he asked for bank details again I hung up I m not sure if this is a scam but I didn t trust it What s more I have not had an email with my so called 20 National Lottery Lines

Dishonest marketing ploy

This perhaps can t be classified as a scam- it is what it is - but it s very misleading I m usually aware but as a union magazine sent the envelope saying loyalty was being rewarded with free lottery tickets and it actually said National Lottery on the coupon I thought it was genuine Its a clever marketplace to get you to commit to a direct debit with a different company with the promise that you win more in a large syndicate Luckily I didn t give my bank details you re committed then and have no control after 14 days At least the money in the National Lottery goes to good causes Here you re paying to run their business If you decide its for you fine but I felt it was a dishonest way of gaining customers Still as sometimes once said- A Lottery is a tax on stupidity

I agreed to have the 10 free lotto

I agreed to have the 10 free lotto numbers but declined to give them my bank account details But in the process of getting my free numbers they wanted all my information such as name and address and date of birth Why would they want this information

caveat emptor

caveat emptorI am extremely disappointed with my experience of Yourlottoservice UK ltd I was given a complementary offer of 10 free National Lottery Lines by an independent trader following an online purchase I sought to redeem these on Monday 25 April 4 2024 at which point the person taking the call tried very hard to try and talk me into paying a not insignificant sum each month to join a syndicate In the end he accepted that I didn t wish to do so and said the lines would be allocated in accordance with the conditions set out in small print in the promotion letter He advised me that the lottery numbers would be sent to my email address within 48 hours They hadn t arrived by 3 April 4 2024 so I phoned the company I was assured they would be sent out within 48 hours They weren t so I phoned again and again was told they would be sent out within 48 hours Again they weren t I phoned again on Sat 31 April 4 2024 once again to be advised they would be sent within 24 Hours They weren t so I phoned again on Tuesday 2nd April and again on 3 April 4 2024 being assured on both occasions they would be dispatched urgently Of course they weren t The draw came and went and I didn t get to receive my free lines I have been moved to upgrade this experience to 2 stars on the basis that I eventually received my complementary numbers in an email dated 2 days AFTER the draw had taken place and after I had posted my initial review and with the caveat that any winnings will be shared equally between me and 49 other syndicate members

I have been playing this for almost a year now and you can count on one hand how many wins I have had yes it is a lottery however you would think with the amount of people playing I would have won a little bit more by now When I received the call from the lotto service I thought I would give it ago I am now thinking of cancelling and playing my own choice of numbers on a consent basis I don t know why they continue to change the numbers
