**3 stars - It works, but it's not a goldmine.**
I've been using Btcminer for about two months now. The setup was surprisingly easy, and it does run in the background as advertised. I've earned a small amount of Bitcoin, so it's technically functional.
However, the earnings are extremely slow, even with my fairly powerful PC. We're talking pennies a day after you factor in electricity costs. The dashboard is basic and doesn't give you much detail on performance. It feels more like a proof-of-concept than a serious way to generate income. Okay for the curious, but don't expect to quit your day job.
