Wefunder experience

I backed four startups through this platform over the past two years and only one ever posted regular updates. The investing part itself is smooth and the low minimums are great, but that is where the good news ends. When I canceled one investment before closing, the refund took almost three weeks instead of the advertised few days, and nobody answered my emails in between. Support feels basically unmanned once your money is in. Manage expectations and treat every position like a lottery ticket.
