Surprised by the number of bad reviews

I have the Platinum card for almost a year Very happy with the service Customer service via phone is sometimes slow but via chat is always quick It is an expensive card but you can get good value out of it Lounge access is really handy Issues such as chargeback is handled very quickly unlike my anwb card which takes months The continuous travel insurance is quite extensive It does feel so far like Amex is like a security on top for my payments Hope to enjoy the membership for many more years to comeFew minus points Parts of the website are a bit outdated Cannot pay outstanding amounts via ideal only bank transfer All the extra benefits are a bit cumbersome to activate Transferring points to partners is slow and sometimes doesn t work Acceptance is less than Visa Mastercard
