Dealer Loyalty Protection is a Total Scam – Avoid at All Costs

If I could give negative stars, I would. I had this protection when I refinanced my vehicle with Regional Acceptance, and the nightmare began after my car was totaled. Dealer Loyalty Protection dragged their feet from day one. They refused to even open the GAP claim until my insurance released the check, and once I sent all requested documents, they demanded even more. It was an endless loop of red tape and miscommunication.

It took months of painful back-and-forth before they even reviewed my case—and when they did, they lowballed the payout to a pathetic $1,600 out of a $10,000 balance. No credit was given for the 3 months I kept paying on the car after the accident, and they claimed my insurance undervalued the vehicle by $5,000—the exact kind of situation GAP insurance is supposed to cover. Instead, they found ways to nickel and dime everything, from interest charges to “condition” and “late” fees, until there was virtually nothing left to pay out.

To make matters worse, the customer service was unresponsive, rude, and hostile. I even spoke to the CEO, who was threatening and dismissive, warning me not to post negative reviews. Too bad. This company thrives on making claims impossible to fulfill, and based on other Dealer Loyalty Protection Google reviews, I’m far from alone.

It's been 3-4 months, countless calls and emails, and I’m still stuck paying on a totaled car. This has been financially and emotionally draining. I’ve also spoken to a dealer who refuses to work with Dealer Loyalty Protection now because of how they treat customers. Hopefully, more dealerships follow suit.

Dealer Loyalty Protection reviews across the web are revealing the truth—this is a fraudulent operation with shady practices and no regard for the people they’re supposed to protect. If you’re thinking about using this company: don’t. Just don’t.
