As someone who has relied on AOL services for decades, I was deeply disappointed by my recent experience. Like many users leaving AOL reviews, I found myself locked out of my account after trying to clean my laptop from constant pop-ups—only to realize I had lost access to my AOL history and passwords. The outdated recovery options and frustrating customer service only made matters worse. Despite multiple calls and failed two-step verification attempts, I’m still unable to access my account, which is linked to critical services including my business and medical records.

What’s more troubling is the lack of accountability—being told to “wait for the system to reset” for weeks while still being charged for service I cannot use. I requested a supervisor multiple times but was either ignored or told none were available. It’s disappointing to see a once-reliable service now met with stories of inefficiency and poor support, as reflected in many AOL MyPrivacy reviews online. I hope AOL reconsiders its customer care model and makes serious improvements before more loyal users are left stranded.
