as of 1-10-2017 I purchased a unlocked S6 edge from Amazon checked to make sure it was capable to use the GSM cell frequency that Straight Talk usesI also purchased a 45 card and sim kit in the bring your own phone kit went online talked to no oneI entered my ATT number from my old phone and some ATT account info then took the sim out of my old phone after syncing everything with Google and Samsung I then entered the new sim number and the 45 card number a popup notified me that it may take 3 days to transfer it took 2My wife s phone received a text that I had attempted to send is how I noticedI use wifi mostly and only use 3g 4g for maps when out of town and on the move not parked near a free hotspot I set up the auto pay feature and now save 26 a month over ATT so far so good if you buy a phone please understand the technology as most do not have sim card slots you will be locked to a specific carrier mni wiconi
