Very happy

Purchased 2 items from this website One of the items was cancelled on the sellers end however a refund was issued and was recieved on my end within 2 days Both Abebooks customer service and the seller were pleasant to deal with The second book was from a seller overseas therefore took a couple of weeks to arrive The bad reviews put me off of this website however the sellers I dealt with were great and I have no complaints about the condition of the items

I depend on Trustpilot for reviews and am surprised to see such a poor rating for Abebooks I have bought through their site for many years maybe thirty and have found them reliable so for me it will be five stars Certainly they seem to compare well enough with other similar platorms

Excellent service

I recently ordered 3 books 2 of which came 2 days later and the third after a week - all well before the dates I was given for delivery All are in excellent condition and I will be using this site again

I was sceptical able this website from reading the reviews here however still ordered a textbook from AbeBooks because it was much cheaper than Amazon It was delivered in one week I was very pleased to see the copy was like brand new better than expected

I want to express all my gratitude to AbeBooks I have got a book for my studies It has been used but it looks like new At an affordable very low price From the first moment of my purchase I had emails Confirmation Emails with every relevant department I could need Emails updated about the parcel and delivery Only few times we can find the combination of low Prices and excellent service Thanks

So far so good

I ordered 17 books I needed for the children s school then I received a confirmation email with delivery dates later than expected - bearing in mind the delivery charges on multiple items from the same supplier then I read the reviews I thought that s it - I won t be getting these in time - I ordered Tuesday evening most had arrived by Thursday Far exceeding my expectation As someone mentioned they are relying on third parties delivering the books the ones outstanding are from 2 different sellers who have now provided dates outside of their initial guidelines - so it is these providers I will more wary of in the future if the outstanding books do not arrive within the time scales as opposed to Abe books

I felt the need to address the bad reviews

I felt the need to address the over-proportion of negative reviews against AbeBooks since most of them are more a criticism of the delivery than anything else and the deliveries are made by third parties My book came completely undamaged and even came with some free decaf packets of tea a thoughtful gesture although I m not a fan of tea myself The book took a while to get here however this was made clear from the start that delivery would take a while The book itself is in pristine condition and I simply have nothing bad to say about the experience 5 5 stars from me

The greatest website of all time

This is the website that never fails Whatever book you want in whatever condition hardback or paperback first editions missing volumes from a set Abe has the lot And cheap Over the last 15 years I have bought hundreds and hundreds of books from them I have never had a single problem with the sellers I have looked at the and reviews and do not recognise the site in what the authors have written I am afraid Trustpilot has become an International Paradise for Whingers and Trolls

I ve had nothing but great service and delivery for abebooks so I was surprised at so many bad reviews I love their prices too I ve picked up a few books for under a pound with minimal shipping Great selection of soft cover hardback etc I ve yet to search a book they didn t have I highly recommend based on my experiences

Was perfect

Was perfect I read a few reviews after ordering rookie mistake but the book was rare and I was very frightened I d been an eager fool judging by the price which was not even a fraction of what I ve seen elsewhere I was wrong and today realised that those people must have been very unlucky as all my expectations was met Thanks guys I m very happy
