Glacier Hike

Signed up for glacier hike and our guide Fergus was awesome He was funny and kept the group entertained while at the same time making sure everyone was safe during our hike

We took two tours with Arctic

We took two tours with Arctic Adventures One to the Glacier for a walk with stops on the way The second the Katla Ice Cave The buses were on time and comfortable Drivers were friendly and informative The walk on the glacier was great despite the weather Katla Ice Cave was AMAZING Tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful

Fantastic trip to the south coast and a

Fantastic trip to the south coast and a hike to the Solheimajokull glacier We were promptly picked up by driver and guide Linus who was very friendly and gave us lots of information on the areas we were visiting There was plenty of time at each stop to have a look and explore He also made sure we got back to Reykjavik in time for our dinner reservations On the glacier we had Gaia as our guide She was friendly and clearly enthusiastic about her job and very safety conscious She also made the trip fun we tried pure glacier water straight from the glacier and got a little mud from the Eyafjallajokull ash to try out on our skin and she also gave us information on the glacier geology and environmental impact The hike itself was really enjoyable we spent around an hour hiking on the ice it was easy and the crampons were not difficult to walk in All in all we had a fantastic day trip and would definitely book with Arctic Adventures again

River Rafting with Arctic Rafting

I booked an afternoon of river fun rafting with Arctic Rafting I was on a cruise ship that arrived into Reykjavik at 1200 and was picked up at the port The process was smooth and the bus driver very friendly It was over an hour to get to the Arctic Rafting Centre but the hosts were brilliant almost all kit is provided - if you have a rash vest then take one - and I waterproofed my phone for a small fee which meant I could take pictures The event itself was fun and about the right length There was time for a beer and hot tub afterwards before I was taken back to port Great people very friendly would definitely recommend if you are visiting Iceland

Arctic Adventures 6 Day Fantastic Experience

Absolutely incredible experience We just returned from the 6 day small group multi day tour which went above and beyond our expectations The Ring Road itinerary was a perfect mix of all that makes Iceland so special We are still in awe trying to process all we saw and experienced Our guide Andre was fantastic He was extremely knowledgeable not only knew the route very well but also the best vantage points for great views and pictures He was very relaxed and approachable while working to make certain each of us was having a positive experience As well he added in extra destinations throughout which were a bit off the beaten path and simply phenomenal We had opportunities to be together as a group and ample opportunities to split off to do to own thing which was nice The accommodations were as described in beautiful locations and again Andre made certain our needs were being met and that we were all comfortable Every detail of our trip from pick-up to drop-off went off without any issues I highly recommend Arctic Adventures and will definitely use them in the future Our experience was simply over the top

Very professional service all information was provided that was needed and the guide on the glacier tour Alex was fantastic They had a close eye on the weather to make sure the activity was safe kept us well informed Great experience all round

Had an amazing tour in Iceland with this company and its friendly staff We booked the Glaciers Waterfalls Tour which I cannot recommend enough The staff could not help us enough and the trip was very well organized and professional

4 5 stars excellent adventure

4 5 stars Amazing 7 days We had a different guide on day 7 for the Snaefellsness Peninsula but both guides Gunni and Bjorn were fantastic The glacier hike will be a standout moment forever My biggest want was more time at some of the stops but given how packed most of our days were it s understandable and has made me already consider my next trip back where I can plan things based off of what I have already seen me done This is an excellent overview and highlight of the Icelandic wonders Our group of 18 was a great mix of people from around the world who were game to try most anything even the fermented shark
