The majority of reviews for Adventures are highly positive, with customers praising the knowledgeable and friendly guides, the quality of glacier and ice cave tours, and the overall organization. A significant number of guests highlight specific tours like glacier hikes, snorkeling, and the Golden Circle as fantastic experiences. However, a substantial portion of reviews detail serious issues with Arctic Adventures, including alleged false advertising, refusal of refunds for canceled tours, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct. Booked excursion through Expedia for the Dc Plane wreck trip 12 hours full day We confirmed booking day before to be told the plane wreck part was cancelled but they would not allow us to cancel the tour We got picked up at 8 20 and was told it may be cancelled the main part but we already new it was fully cancelled as we had been told by the lady on the phone We spend 8 hours driving on the bus stopped at 2 waterfalls and the black sand beach Now artic adventures are being very awkward about refunding for the majority of the tour Only reason we booked this trip was for the dc plane wreck that s what the whole tour wasCalled We not recommend to use artic adventures The tour should have been called ride a bus and stop off petrol stations

Here s an updated note about AA which has a better result Here s the advice just call them and they will provide credit forget emailing them However I don t know if they will give out refunds

The company promised a credit for the cancelled tours due to Covid They have ignored my emails to get these credits I am not even asking for a refund but just the credits so that I can do the 2 tours I had paid for in Jan 2020 I am very disgusted with Arctic Adventures and I wish the government in Iceland would do something about this scam This company gives Iceland a bad name very bad for tourism

Mis-representation

There is no ice cave tour in the 3D South Coast and Golden Circle Tour When I search for ice cave before my booking this 3Day tour appears in the list and ice cave was listed in the itinerary But when I m on the tour the guide said there is no ice cave visit This is purely misleading and mis-representation I booked this tour because of the ice cave but ended up with no visit to the ice cave at all Very disappointed My advice to others is pls clarify before booking

Dangerous Company to Tour With

We really wanted to see the northern lights but but the unsafe conditions of the bus prevented us from doing so The bus smelled like a mix of gasoline and wood stainer so much so that we could taste the chemicals and we re getting headaches Other customers noted the smell too We had to get off the bus before the bus left Reykjavik and take a long walk back to our hotel because the smell was so sickening and we feared the health consequences of breathing the fumes The company claimed it was due to disinfectant but no other tour we took through them featured toxic fumes so that only makes sense if they re not disinfecting most of the time and using stainer when they do The company refuses to refund us the money Go with Reykjavik Excursions instead Their bus and customer service are both much better
