I had an appointment today but I have not been contacted at all and I only spent my time preparing for it Not a good start I ll move to the next mortgage advisor company

When trying to make a house purchase The Consultant was initially very hard to get hold of Then when we did talk and got the process underway he repeatedly chased me to sign the mortgage offer even though the property I was selling hadn t had any viewings Due to the delay he accused me of trying to secure a mortgage directly and cutting him out after he d spent hours for me I explained I just wasn t ready but ultimately signed In hindsight this is how he secures his fees My property never did sell When I chased the Consultant for further help raising capital against one of my other properties he wouldnt return a call or email

Total waste of time and money I really don t want to give anyone 1 star but this company is not deserve any star reasons are below1 Whatever Mortgage lender I have been got by them they are much expensive than whatever I was looking2 They ask me to pay their fees first after paid a fees services straight away changed 3 No reply for minimum 3 -5 emails4 No reply on phone calls5 So much delay because of them 6 I have paid 4000 extra because of delay 7 After conformation no thank you email or nothing 8 Even they haven t told me that my mortgage is renewed

I have to pay brokers for their service but I have been the one trying to chase my file through the process Reaching staff via phone is always difficult and they always have an attitude as this is an extra plodding for them rather than their job Instead of guiding they make you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere The main thing they are worried about is their commission instead of guiding properly Thanks God at least there are solicitors who are more helpful and kind

We were promised a mortgage that was not feasible or obtainable Which meant we were house hunting outside of our actual budget Useless at responding to phone calls and emails Took a week to respond to requests for an AIP which meant we missed out on a property Added so much extra stress to an already stressful process of moving house Avoid

Wouldn t recommend them I had a very rude call with a broker who was very unhelpful and very dismissive Told me all the things he wasn t prepared to do and told us he can t get us a mortgage which as weird because we were only going to them as they recommended to us they could get us a better deal and we should get a second opinion Complete waste of time

After sending across all the requested docs and spending weeks I was finally given 2 products with good interest rates at first only to know later that the broker was not even following their internal procedures before Their internal compliance process then took long enough that the offered interest rate jumped above 2 5 and eventually increased due to increase rate of BoE Alexander Hall mortgage and the pecisely broker lost my trust to ever recommend them to any 1 in my circle They did absolutely nothing except made me waisted oppotunity to benefit good interest rate I eventually got the mortgage from else where

I ve never done a review before but I d warn anyone thinking of using Alexander Hall not to The whole experience was a nightmare from start of finish Be it from randomly getting a voice mail incorrectly telling me the sale wasn t going through and then the staff member promptly going off for a half day with no one else to contact to paper work being incorrectly filed causing the whole sale to be frozen by Santander and put under investigation for days meaning completion date was missed and fines were issued via sellers etc To make matters worse i d paid 500 for the privilege of Alexander Hall looking after my sale Honestly I can t stress enough - avoid them at all costs UPDATE Following this review I was contacted by Alexander Hall and a settlement was agreed While the above still stands it s greatly appreciated they contacted me

My recent encounter with an Alexander Hall mortgage advisor over the phone was nothing short of a distressing and unprofessional experience I was left deeply disappointed by the advisor s aggressive demeanor lack of empathy and judgmental attitude throughout our interaction From the outset it was clear that this advisor had little interest in providing helpful guidance or understanding my unique circumstances Instead they adopted an aggressive tone that made me feel uncomfortable and defensive Their abrasive approach created an unwelcoming atmosphere and completely undermined the purpose of seeking professional advice What was particularly disheartening was the advisor s blatant judgment of my employment situation They not only questioned the legitimacy of my second job but also criticized me for working on weekends Such comments were not only intrusive but also completely unprofessional A mortgage advisor s role should be to assess financial qualifications objectively without making unwarranted judgments or passing personal opinions Furthermore the advisor s refusal to offer meaningful assistance or explore potential mortgage options left me feeling frustrated and unsupported It was evident that they had a one-size-fits-all approach to mortgage advice and were unwilling to adapt to my specific needs or circumstances Overall my experience with the Alexander Hall mortgage advisor over the phone was a regrettable one Their aggressive and judgmental demeanor coupled with a lack of helpfulness made the entire interaction a deeply unpleasant one I would strongly caution anyone considering their services to think twice and seek assistance from professionals who prioritize respectful and empathetic communication while providing valuable financial guidance

Used Alexander Hall 2 years ago when buying my first property and was a great experience and felt like the whole process was explained to me as well as feeling like I had the support if I needed it Came to remortgage and the previous broker had left so was assigned someone new Spoke to them in an initial conversation and then heard nothing back I chased up with emails for several weeks asking questions and got no response I ended up doing my remortgage on my own Very disappointed with the experience I got this time round
