I have had House Insurance with An Post

I have had House Insurance with An Post for many years I then decided to transfer my car Insurance to An Post I was shocked by the 15 increase in at first renewal I have never had a claim in my life and dtive about 5 000 miles per annum I thought taht car insurance costs were reducing

Total Cost information

Very nice people However the message presented relating to the total cost of my insurance was misleading and somewhat deceptive Paying via installments has a second additional cost which is not clearly presented Total cost does not mean total an additional charge I realized this subsequently and then switched to a one off payment Not everyone can do this The key point here is that any trust in dealing with An Post Insurance has now been eroded due to the additional cost information being withheld Check voice recording at beginning of February - sorry date below is an approximate

Could be a bit better

Always lovely people to deal with on the phone however I was not asked for all documents on first request this caused a delay and I was a long time waiting for my disc

Website needs to be improved

AnPost website leaves a lot to be desired After filling out the questionnaire it told me that I could not get an online quote and had to call Very frustrating After calling I received a verbal quote which was subsequently confirmed in an email As the price was acceptable I wanted to buy it When I clicked on buy now I was told that again I could not do it online but rather had to do it by phone This is extremely annoying and needs to be fixed All else was ok treatment by the personnel answering of questions price etc but the website experience lets the company down

Repeat customer beware

Oh year 2 with A Post insurance Same story this year - so renewal come through huge increase in premium so went online for new renewal The quote was significantly less which makes me think why if I m a new customer I get a better deal What is that called again but what is additionally bad is the calls I received after about renewing- like am I supposed to accept the more expensive option And the fact the caller didn t know I had already renewed the insurance was just unacceptable On the more positive side I did get a good quote and paid immediately as a new customer Overall the experience was very poor as it was a repeat of what happened last year although there were less calls this year

Was trying to buy online Friday evening but couldn t complete rang on Monday several times before there was someone available to take the call

Reasons for 3 star rating

While my on line experience was good the fact that my motor insurance premium increased by 30 was bad Removing a named driver also increased my premium rather than expected decrease Not been able to renew my premium on line is also my reason for 3 star rating

I was happy with an post insurance but was disappointed this year as my insurance went up about 90

This my second year I ve picked an post insurance I had no problem getting a quote they where not to expensive would recommend to anyone
