Gigaclear subcontracted my installation

Heard loud noises and then drilling which I thought was on the road outside until I looked out of the window and saw Avonline had dismantled my broadband phone coverings on my house and had actually started drilling into my wall No ring on the bell no checking with me - I had not ordered Virgin Media They got the wrong house on the wrong street and blamed the Sat Nav Not one brain cell between 3 of them Duh didn t think to knock on the door and check everything first before they started removing property and drilling holes in my actual house I ve just sent in a complaint and will do the same to Virgin

My neighbour had a new line installed

Gigaclear subcontracted my installation to this pathetic excuse of a company The engineer who attended my property was a sociable friendly man who tried his best considering he had been sent by himself to do absolutely everything Needless to say he came up against an issue and he spent an hour and a half trying to resolve but couldn t He escalated it for some to come out And that is where it all ended here I am a week later despite 2 calls to Avonline and 6 to Gigaclear I have no internet Avonline are not responding to me and neither are they responding to Gigaclear What a farce - I hope Gigaclear decides that Avonline is dragging their reputation through the mud and stops using them

A Disgrace - Hopeless Complaints System Too

My neighbour had a new line installed by these people Unfortunately they never asked permission before drilling into my wall and said they did not know the building was a maisonette I have seen other work done onu property which I suspect has been done by them as well which could well present a Health Safety issue Should I contact a solicitor now

Installation work was hopeless

In early April their engineers started laying down fibre on behalf of Virgin Media so they say alongside existing BT Openreach fibre which most households if not all use here As a result they stretch my fibre so taught it was dragged out of the cable clips on my wall and nearly pulled it away from the BT junction box Fortunately I d seen Avonline s vans around and made a mental note to chase them up to fix it - hwowever after I contacted the complaints manager via email they said they would have to reapply for permission to access the conduits as it was on a pavement but they would attend to it as quickly as possible Weeks passed without any update or progress and I tried to chase but they basically said it was up to me to chase Virgin Media Today 2 7 24 I just happened to notice a BT Openreach engineer connecting a neighbour to their fibre and told them the story about how Avonline had left me high and dry and he said he d try and help - five minutes later my fibre was reinstated and with slack again The moral of the story and looking at other reviews here of Avonline is don t use them as subcontractors if you want your brand protected - and I shan t ever buy Virgin Media s services as a result

Awful company

Installation work was absolutely hopeless carried out without any care rushed job by two incompetent staff who were only interested in trying to fit in another bodge-up that day Revised and corrected some of the host of problems and now MORE have appeared Still waiting after 3 weeks for a THIRD visit to fix the latest mess Wouldn t trust them as far as can see them TOTAL COWBOYS

Van pulled up outside my home blocking my drive They knocked on neighbours door to advise them they were going to do some installation work My neighbour is away The workers didn t have the courtesy to let me know how long they would block my drive or even bother to explain why they had to block it in the first place I complained to company who told me van would be moved It was only when they had finished their work By looking at other reviews it is obvious this company couldn t care less about their bad reviews

Muppets

They recently installed a Virgin Media box outside my property All of the mess and packaging was left on the floor despite a bin was right there Absolute muppets

No idea how this lot get away with the

No idea how this lot get away with the shoddy work they do They re ruining the look of roads and footpaths everywhere They literally throw the unarmoured cables into a butchered gouge in the path Vermin will love munching their way through those cables They started demolishing the path outside our house at 3pm on a Friday Obviously they didn t finish it nowhere near so we re left looking at a total mess all weekend I m sure it could have waited I also watched one of their gangs brush a load of rubble into the surface water drain in the road Absolutely shocking I will never sign up for Virgin broadband because of these cowboys

A masterclass in incompetence and perhaps much worse

Avonline is the subcontractor for Virgin They are either completely incompetent or ripping Virgin off not completing what should be basic repulls duct clearing and repairs I will be reporting them to OFCOM as something dodgy is clearly going on with this company The fact they constantly change their name on companies house and somehow have brought in 10m less than 2024 but strangely have already reported to bringing in 12m more profit in 2025 I think we can say they are milking their contracts while not carrying out the required work If your provider ever mentions this company for doing the install then I would find another company because you are opening MONTHS of lies missed dates and wasted hours on hold to useless operators
