Unexpected scratches

The hob is working fine but right in the beginning few permanent scratches appeared after frying My wife did few not too vigorous slides with the pan and it caused this damage The hob surface is quite fragile compared to the previous one we had

Some very weird design

Have probably asked for review a little early as I am still coming to grips with methods to get the over to brown things better In this respect it is different to other oven s I ve used in the past Am still working with it There are some other frankly ridiculous design aspects to the over such as over shelves that have a sort of ridge at the front making it impossible - and more dangerous - to slide a tray out with one hand it s even tricky with 2 hands Absolutely mental design And the symbols are utterly nonsensical 2 stars is the best I could give at the moment sorry

Dishwasher came with loads of cosmetic

Dishwasher came with loads of cosmetic damage inside and outside Had to get engineer out to try to fix a part inside and hopefully sort some of the cosmetic stuff Still waiting for him to arrive Very disappointed and it s put me off considering Beko in the future

Check the spec before you buy

The freezer does not match the specifications of the Argos website or the supplied manual The freezer has no internal light which is disappointing The freezer does not have a fast freeze option This was mentioned in the Argos spec and in the manual which has the right model number on it There is no flap on the top shelves

The dishwasher produces clean dishes

The dishwasher produces clean dishes and they do shine The trouble is 1 The dishwasher has the wrong programs in it the 45 min wash is a 1hr 45 min wash and the Fast option isn t working 2 You can t fit UK pint glasses in the washer together with large plates due to the poor rack design Combined with poor customer service I can give the unit more than 2 stars

Misleading info

Nothing actually wrong with appliance but on all the photos and manual there shows and mentions a fast freeze transluscant pull down flap This apparently does not come with the appliance but as an extra you can purchase After contacting BEKO they stated that they would send one to us gratis as a gesture of goodwill Guess what never heard anymore To my mind an open fast freeze compartment doesn t make sense when you look at competitor s models all have a pull down flap as standard So for not so great service and misleading info only two stars

The only thing wrong with the cooker is

The only thing wrong with the cooker is The silver bit round the cooker top gets scraped and has black lines it s like the enamel has came off Not impressed

Poor product

Needed to replace a dishwasher under Currys care plan For the first time pick up from store was unavailable so had to order online and pay for delivery searching the Currys site was a pain Filters seem to be ignored Selected slimline and freestanding get presented with a mix of thoe plus full size and integraed Duh Eventually opted for BEKO DVS04X20W Slimline Dishwasher Delivery was on time no problem there Setup was easy First wash on a load of small stuff was Ok Now I ve had several models over the years decades so when I wanted to do my second load I was shocked to find that the upper basket was at a fixed height Ironically the user manual has instructions on how to adjust the height using the 2new improved method but with the disclaimer depends on model Not this model it seems There is now plenty of wasted space above the top basket so why Beko decided to fix the height is beyond me This facility or lack thereof should have been made clear in the product description I m now stuck with hand-washing my larger dinner plates as the won t fit under the much-to-low-and-fixed-height upper basket Thanks a lot Beko

Rubbish customer care

When I registered it it was not in house but a company hell bent on selling me further insurance I already have quite a few thing insured with them ultimately due to their lack of professionalism and lack of customer care I cancelled all of my cover with them

Brand new beko induction hob with intermittent fault

Brand new beko induction hob with intermittent fault The ability to change cooking temperature stops then the whole thing flashes with an f code Then works fine for a couple of days They will charge 50 to come out if the fault doesn t show whilst engineer there Not impressed You expect a brand new appliance to be ok or have replacement The chances of it playing up when engineer arrives are slim Not a great service from beko
