Have had a terrible experience with Big Warranties Was informed there is no engineer in our area to fix our Siemens oven and we felt we had no option but to accept a very poor cash offer instead We offered to give them the contact details of a local engineer but they weren t interested We organised a visit ourselves from an appropriate engineer within 2 days How I wish we had stayed with Domestic and General

Terrible company have reported to the FSO They just take money and don t care about the service provided Stay well clear and use local tradesmen instead

I have had a very bad experience with Big Warranties For many years I have paid for cover for my dishwasher and have been a loyal customer When I called for an engineer and when he eventually turned up he couldn t get dishwasher out and I had to pay a plumber to do this When engineer returned he diagnosed problem and said he needed to order a part The dishwasher then started leaking and I had to pay plumbers again to sort They established a hole in dishwasher which could never be fixed On contacting Big Warranty they said it could not be fixed and said under policy they would pay for repacement They gave a very poor cash offer which didn t nearlycover the cost of a dishwasher Disappointing service

Beware and read your small print on your cover Insure washing machine up to 500 cover washing machine only value at 350 Why did they give me a higher premium to be told when the engineer arrived and just looked at machine economically viable to fixed then told every year your with then the machine depreciate by 20 And was told I didn t have like for like cover Why wouldn t I take this cover out When I ve gone to the trouble of insuring it is my only query So upset taking this insurances to the ombudsman

This company took money from my account without authorization I tried to cancel any further money taking and cancelling my involvement with the company by emailI was assured by return email that I would be contacted But as yet nothing A company to be avoided I believe they are associated with go-assist also a dubious company Who take money and do not let you cancel

Contacted 20 12 24 by email to cancel policy BIG730490 having failed to get through to them by phone before It has remained impossible to get through to them although they say in emails and SMS that it is urgent They send emails which result in an automated response sms messages which cannot be responded to BIG Warranties is an insurance company and Go Assist is a trading name of BIG Warranties and provides appliance repair services Their terms state In addition to your statutory rights you may cancel this insurance at any time by giving notice of cancellation to the administrator Cover will terminate immediately on receipt of your notice ofcancellation This has not happened Ongoing conversation now with complaints department who now say The cancellation notice on your policy will cause the policy to automatically cancel after 3 months Unable to contact or leave a message on their phone number Looking at contacting the ombudsman Big warranties say they cannot find the profile BIG730490 I have had numerous emails and a couple of telephone calls but still no resolution

Beware underhanded pricing tactics Big warranties insurance was by default added to my Go-Assist dishwasher repair When I discovered the insurance doesn t kick in until after the repair is complete I called to cancel At that point I was told that it would cost me almost as much as the insurance to cancel it and they get around cooling-off laws by having Go-Assist charge at the point of cancellation

Awful customer service waiting over a week for a call back I have called 4 times and been told every time someone will call me back before the end of the day

BIG WARRANTRIES booked a repair company for me to come and look at my faulty freezer I have 4 appliances insured with them The company they said they were sending cancelled at the last minute on the day that they were supposed to come That week I had looked up the repair company reviews and it was appalling 1 7 5 I then looked up said company on Companies House - they did not exist I looked them up on the internet - there was a web presence but with a different address and another with the same address but a different name etc This does not bode well I thought and I rang back BIG WARRANTRIES to ask them if they had had any issues with this company They said we send them to lots of people I said OK can you co firm what address you have for them They confirmed that THEIR contact details were different to the one of the website I said these people don t appear to exist on Companies House The BIG WARRANTRIES agents x3 different ones over the week were unhelpful and dismissive all just repeating these people are vetted etc I said but Have you read the reviews and Can you explain why they are not registered with Companies House One agent was particularly rude You can t expect me to check Companies House etc I said I do I am YOUR customer not theirs you are sending me someone who will enter my house - I need their company name and address - and I do think it is your responsibility to take heed of negative reviews of people you are sending out to your clients Anyway no joy - and sure enough the repair company sent a text to say they are not now coming - after I have cancelled work today - without pay The text also says One of our team will call you at 10am tomorrow with an update We are trying to secure another engineer to attend on 24th December Today is Friday 24th January 2025 by the way

Friendly staff but the agent who s sets up the policy is not clear and transparent also they just write off the appliance the first time DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
