Incompetent and poor excuses

Incompetent and poor excuses 2 hours after placing my order I needed to change the shipping address to a better recipient location The book did not ship for three more days But we are overwhelmed yadah yadah and I received this one week later telling me they just received my change I tried to request the change just two hours after placing the original order There should be a feature on your website to adjust an order at least within 24 hours of placing it I see why you are losing out to Amazon You have lost my business Pet the f ng puppy

Horrible technology and customer

Horrible technology and customer service First the cart I had filled was deleted So when I went to checkout before a free shipping deadline I couldn t cause my many books were gone Then the email that told me when the deadline is had an error in the countdown I redirected from the email while the clock said I still had 3 hours and it still didn t work So due to errors on their part the discount was not redeemed Contacted customer service immediately and they refuse to honor the free shipping This company has zero customer service

Preordered a book and it was released a week ago I have an invalid tracking number and BookShop org said I can come back after 10 days because it was probably just misplaced - mind you the tracking number states that it was never shipped at all I paid more than twice what I should have given the cost at my local Wal-Mart Target or B N Never again and I will have to dispute with my bank Huge hassle

Lack of support

Ordered to a incorrect address realised immediately and contacted bookshop org They said there was basically nothing they could do the order would have to be delivered to wrong address Beggars belief that orders can t be altered cancelled minutes after placing

Bookshop doesn t care about authors

As a published author I find it truly a joke that this service claims to put authors and bookstores first None of my calls have been returned and email response time takes days or weeks if they respond at all I ve had nothing but issues and frustrations trying to resolve issues complications and errors about how my book is sold to readers They always say the support volume is high and thank me for my patience but they ve got time to post James Bond memes on instagram instead of answering support emails

first time customer backordered 0 STARS

I had to pre-order the book I wanted after waiting a month or so for fulfillment they notified me that book I wanted has been back ordered ABSOLUTELY LOST MY TRUST My first book order with these guys and BACK ORDERED And now SPAM comes I feel violated ZERO STARS from me first time customer is frustrated

Deliveries very slow and not when notified

Book arrived ages after the order was placed had hoped as was ordered over a week in advance it would arrive to give as present for guest coming to ours at the weekend It was a paperback in a card envelope which the courier left on the doorstep in the pouring rain and was soaked through Was told by the tracking system for delivery that the book would arrive on Saturday and it arrived on the Tuesday I love the idea of supporting independent bookshops but your delivery of books is unreliable

I wanted to give addresses as I was sending a copy to two other people for Christmas Couldn t find how to do that so I phoned Edge of the Works bookshop in Penzance and ordered direct with them Then discovered I had been charged on your website and 2 books have been delivered Unwanted duplicates I ve been charged for

Damaged book difficult return

I usually buy books from a large and well known seller of many things I thought I would support a small bookseller with this particular purchase That was a mistake Book was severely damaged and presently I am trying to get refund or replacement Not holding my breath Not an easy process Whatever happens I will not be using this service again
