I m really happy to be able to support

I m really happy to be able to support an alternative to high-tech giants but I m rather disappointed everything is taking such a long time I ordered over a week ago and the parcel is only just going out I didn t feel that the fact one book wasn t immediately available was stated clearly enough I only saw it after having ordered and the 3-5 days has turned into 8 days I can only hope my relatives received their Xmas present on time I would use this again but make sure I order a lot earlier

An item was missing from my order

UpdateI have now received the book having chased up Previous review 1 starAn item was missing from my order When I chased I was told that it was out of stock when my order was shipped and it would be sent now as new stock had arrived It s been over two weeks now and I have still received nothing nor have I had any communication It shouldn t be down to the customer to have to chase a company to actually get what they paid for

Photocopied Edition

Even with the postal strikes arrived promptly Many thanks on that I didn t know really what to expect but what came reminded me of the old school text books you got at school Was hoping the pictures would have been colour it s hard to make out in photocopied images But hey I m not going to grumble as it s difficult to get what I really wanted in time for Christmas

I ordered 2 books for my niece on Dec

I ordered 2 books for my niece on Dec 9th to arrive by Christmas They did not arrive on time and I am still waiting for them as of Dec 29th as they have been stuck in a facility since the 14th It would have been nice for the company to keep me apprised of the updates via email instead of going online every single day to track it down- and receiving the same message Your delivery will arrive today by 9 00 PM which never did If I receive the books I will now have to pay additional shipping fees to get them to my niece who lives in another town or pay shipping fees to return them Super bummed my niece didn t get to open these on Christmas as they were on her wish list This was my first time shopping through this site I do love their mission which is why I went there to begin with

Better than Waterstones

I m glad to have found Bookshop org and to be supporting independent bookshops I used to shop at Waterstones but never again since they ve gone woke It s only 3 stars today because one of the books I ve bought is absolutely terrible and I ve abandoned it halfway through It sounded good from the description but it s not and it s badly written

People still have to go to amazon to

People still have to go to amazon to buy indie books as the majority are not available through bookshop org I have checked several that I wanted and know are not traditionally published and couldn t get any of them on bookshop org Bookshop org you can do better And not all indie books are printed by amazon there are many companies printing books on demand How can we support indie bookshops if they don t support indie authors I will still have to go to amazon to get those books

I am a member of this site and it took

I am a member of this site and it took the money off my card without running it past me so I had no opportunity to change my mind I also wanted to pick the book up from my local independent bookshop but could not see how to do this although I am sure I have done it before Once ordered the book came very promptly

The packaging was open at the end so the hardback book inside could very easily have come out

The book took a long time to arrive and there was no communication of when it was likely to arrive to a point where I had given up on ever receiving it I couldn t find a point of contact to convey my concerns and as this was my first transaction I was worried that I had been ripped off

Gift wrap

Unfortunately although the book was nicely gift wrapped the important message with a birthday greeting and a not to be opened until note was missing Raised this and was told it might be inside the gift wrap
