AI Review Summary Based on 89 reviews

The majority of reviews for Cellarrats are highly positive, with customers praising the wine quality, convenient subscription model, and excellent customer service. Many highlight the enjoyment of discovering new wines in small, curated portions. While a significant number of 5-star reviews exist, there are also numerous 1- and 2-star reviews detailing severe issues. These negative experiences consistently focus on problematic cancellations, unresponsive customer support, and receiving damaged or spoiled products. The contrast indicates a deep divide between supporters of the product idea and customers who had deeply frustrating, and in some cases financially damaging, interactions with the company.

I felt like this company had some

I felt like this company had some potential and maybe found a gap in the market but the wine ends up being super expensive you cant cancel without calling my cashback still hasn t been confirmed after over 2 months and the worst part for me was that I actually tried to buy the bottles I liked from their store but pretty much everything was sold out but they dont tell you this they wait until its in your basket and you are checking out just poor design

Great idea but awful wines and dodgy cancellation practices

The wines were dreadful I got all white and they were very sharp with a bitter aftertaste I don t drink stuff like that It was just wasted There is a kind of disclaimer on the bottles to say that the taste might not match the original It does make sense that rebottling would cause that vinegary taste due to oxidisation I think it s a fantastic idea More and more I find myself just wanting A glass of wine in the evening and I dislike having opened a bottle feeling that I either have to finish it or waste it The mini bottles you get in the supermarkets are pretty poor and there s only a small range so it s really limited what you can do But I m not going to drink rubbish and someone who will just drink anything won t pay for this it s not cheap I was doubly put off by how difficult it was to cancel It says you can cancel through your account at any time and it looks like you can as you click through they try to tempt you with offers but ultimately it comes up that you have to call them The online help leads to the same message In the end I found an email address and did it that way sharing my displeasure with them They responded that perhaps the bottles were damaged no or perhaps the source bottles were corked but that would obviously be a lot of corked bottles and too much of a coincidence I suggest they look into more effective ways of rebottling without spoiling the wines if it s even possible and using better wines anyway I would like to see some more familiar names as well as some smaller family-run wineries and perhaps there should be one more expensive wine in each set where you d hesitate to buy a bottle in case you didn t really like it

Nice wine but too many shady tactics

Got the intro offer 6 bottles just play postage My account online said it had been dispatched but didn t get any sort of communication or tracking number emailed them twice after 4 days to ask for a tracking number - no response The wine did actually arrive a few days later and to be honest it was lovely I like the idea of having single glass bottles BUT the usual price for this is 35 which is just too expensive for my taste It also clearly states in their terms and conditions that you can cancel online but you can t When you click to cancel it takes you through several screens of offers before telling you to call a number to cancel To be fair I was only on hold for about 2 mins and the guy cancelled it right away without any hassle Another negative is that their advertising is very misleading 90 of free wine with a small footnote which says if they were full bottles But they aren t full bottles - so it s a completely misleading comparison Overall wine was great but this company just employs far too many shady practices for me to continue giving them money false advertising blatantly lying in their terms and conditions and terrible communications

Very disappointed like many by the cancellation process - ended up on hold for 30min trying to cancel my subscription despite the site saying Don t worry if you want to leave us for any reason you can cancel at any time with a couple of clicks

Not good

They don t tell you that they ll send you tiny bottles then make you call to cancel and you can t get through for an hour Terrible product and all indicative of a scam Update finally got through on the phone and they did cancel and refund me the money since I d already emailed them and tried to cancel several times

I ve emailed four times about my orders

I ve emailed four times about my orders as I got the free two bottles of wine just pay p p of 6 I ve received the sample subscription through Royal Mail two weeks after payment and still waiting for an email or money back for the other order It s a shame their customer service is not very good as I would have carried on the subscription

Poor customer service and late deliveries

Payment taken for subscription on 21 7 24 It is now 31 7 24 and still no delivery It says it was sent on 29 7 24 which is still 8 days after the order but not received and no tracking info communicated This is off the back of an order issue I had in May where some of the wine had gone spoiled and fizzy I had to send a few emails over a week before a refund for that bottle was sent and even then I didn t get an email back just an unannounced 10 refund It s a good wine seller that sells good wine etc but the customer service is pretty shady and wine showing up being drinkable is somewhat hit and miss

Nothing arrived hard to cancel

Used Vodafone offer didn t receive anything no response when contacted via site Cancelling not easy as you can t do it via their site and they only provide a premium rate number to call To be fair they cancelled via email quickly and without issue and issued a refund for the postage for the offer that didn t arrive Shame the offer wine didn t arrive

What a shame

What a shame I thought this was a good idea I haven t had a bad experience with the customer service but the wine quality has been awful Many leaking bottles and others especially the reds fermenting merrily away in their little bottles so quite undrinkable I ve written to them three times to point this out and twice they ve written back to say how exceptional this is other reviews here would suggest it s a generic problem though
