Mis-selling pushy sales techniques AVOID and don t trust

I was contacted last week by the sales centre saying I had an existing contract with them for my washing machine and fridge freezer I queried who the company was as I had not heard of them and I was already insured with another company I also queried my appliances as I don t have a fridge freezer as they are separate items and my fridge doesn t have any cover She asked what appliances I had and she then said my dishwasher was also covered I kept asking her questions which she didn t like as she was clearly reading from a script and I was ruining that for her I asked her to prove to me by email or letter the cover I had before and what they were proposing as she wouldn t provide this on the phone She refused saying that I needed to confirm the bank details and I argued this as I said I wasn t paying for anything until I had proof Unfortunately I was getting frustrated with her and was also trying to work when I took the call so stupidly confirmed my bank details She assured me I wouldn t be charged for anything and no payment was being taken and that all the information would be sent in the post I knew when I came off the phone I shouldn t have given my details she even asked for the make of my washing machine and dishwasher obviously so she could add these to the non existent policy I had I was taken advantage of as I have now received my letter confirming my contract and my annual renewal fee It also never mentioned the fridge freezer she said I was covered for only my washing machine dishwasher I never had an existing contract with them and this was a new contract I called the telephone number on the letter and spoke to someone in this country who said someone from their finance department would contact me They did and confirmed that a direct debit was set up and that they had requested my annual fee but it hadn t been received yet I also said it is not showing on my bank account yet He was cancelling my details and promised the money would be refunded if they receive it - I m not taking that promise after the awful fraudulent way this has been dealt with so have contacted my bank and will be taking this to Trading Standards I am not a vulnerable person and should have known better and shouldn t have taken the call whilst distracted Goodness know how many vulnerable people have fallen for this and paid them I advised to the finance person I spoke to that their sales techniques are underhand and fraudulent and need addressing Don t agree to anything from this company or confirm any bank details as they clearly lie to gain sales and commission Don t make a complaint to them go straight to trading standards if you are affected Please read the other 1 star reviews and AVOID

company twice in the last

Contacted the company twice in the last two weeks about a tv repair and have not had any response i took out the cover for my domestic appliances in January and paid for a whole years cover on checking my bank account they had also set up a automatic renewal for the insurance per direct debit which I did not ask for so I cancelled it i do not think the company is trustworthy

DO NOT have anything to do with them they are hassling my elderly mother and threatening county court judgement for non payment she s not signed anything or received anything such has a contract from them has they set up a DD without telling her

Don t go near them

Unfortunately they seem to have persuaded my poor 82 year old dad to sign up to domestic appliance insurance he neither needed or wanted Think they may have told him it was time to renew Anyway I cancelled on his behalf I have an active power of attorney in place But despite now half a dozen calls over 4 weeks they have failed to pay him back the ridiculous amount they charged of 198 Don t go near them

Preys on elderly people

They seem to call elderly people without making it clear who they are and what they do They somehow persuade them to take out appliance insurance without knowing what they re signing up to 126 a month for coverage when my mother is already covered on her normal house insurance Plus you could buy a new washing machine every third month at that price Cunningly they don t send any documents which surely isn t legal

Do not trust or entertain CHCL CARE

I used them about 3yrs ago and just had a call saying that I have a payment due of 198 but because I didn t make a claim it was reduced to 126 told them I didn t want the insurance any more and they said I had to pay it I was on contract told them to take me to court I m not paying for something I don t want now they have tried to take 126 out of my bank account glad to say the bank blocked it and any future payments with them Don t use

This do not use company phone claiming to be home

This company phone claiming to be home care which they are not told me my policy was being reduced and then asked for bank details as card had expired and took 90 out for a policy I never had with them bank fraud department informed and police

I feel I have been duped

I feel I have been duped I was contacted by a representative and explained that my appliances were already insured and I paid monthly I was lead to believe that they wanted to update my details Having done that I checked my statement and 126 had gone from my account I called chcl and complained I was told they would cancel the cover and repay me I have checked my statement this morning to find they haven t reimbursed me but taken another 126 The now owe me 252 I gave 1 star but put a minus in front of it
