I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this furniture store and it was nothing short of a nightmare The quality of their products is beyond subpar it s like they ve sourced their items from a reject pile The salespeople were disinterested and unhelpful acting as if they d rather be anywhere else And let s not forget about their exorbitant prices you d think you were shopping at a high-end boutique not a glorified garage sale Save yourself the agony and avoid this store at all costs Your wallet and your sanity will thank you

Picked out ordered and paid for furniture in the middle of June and I still have not received all of my furniture and it is the end of October Pieces keep coming in damaged Today I was supposed to receive the table top that was supposed to be delivered Several months ago They called early this morning and said that yet another one was damaged and they can t deliver Stay away from this horrible company

Save your money Pretty furniture but very poor quality Buy elsewhere

We bought a set of 4 chairs and a table for our kitchen 2 5 years ago and added the extended warranty which we weren t going to purchase but were talked into it Anyway the chairs upholstery is deteriorating and are flaking off the top of all the chairs When we called the warranty department we were told that the warranty is for breakage and not for normal wear and tear It is unbelievable that this deterioration IN LESS THAN 2 5 YEARS is considered normal DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING IN CITY FURNITURE THEY HAVE NO QUALITY FURNITURE AND WILL NOT BACK THEIR WARRANTIES

Poor design materials and quality control

Didn t have a chance to inspect a platform bed frame in showroom When delivered the headboard and footboard were literally screwed together to reduce shipping costs Instructions said to unscrew the legs and reinsert the screws into pre drilled holes However there were no predrilled holes and the material they wanted me to drill the holes into that would literally hold the bed frame was like compressed cardboard No way should these pieces be screwed They should have inserts or they should be bolted Plus instructions said no drill required The company should be ashamed to sell such over priced trash

Worst quality

I invested 10 000 and opted for the warranty However a year later when I attempted to make a claim it was denied on the grounds that the issue was not covered Overall my experience has been disappointing and I strongly advise against choosing this option and spending your money as it does not prove to be worthwhile The 1-3 year plan warranty appears to be a scam so exercise caution and explore other alternatives

Horrible quality warranty service

Horrible warranty from day 1 A total disappointment a week after having our sectional of 5k one of the recliner broke plus the light on the console table stop working I called service a technician came after waiting for over two weeks Then he try to repair on site the console light with a new one did not work either The recliner bottom part somehow came defective broke in half On top of everything we have to wait 3 months to get the new parts and they will try to fix it at home meaning if they can t fix it then we will have to wait another month to get a new recliner What is this I guess they don t have the part in the USA Totally ridiculous and they just don t care I went back to the store in person once the furniture is delivered bad news it s yours broke defective or what ever Paying so much with such sacrifice and what I spoke to the store manager and warranty manager they just don t care you need to sit and wait I will never ever buy another piece furniture at City Furniture Do your homework before buying at any store Very sorry we didn t do that

This company has poor customer service

This company has poor customer service and the worst drivers They delivered a big heavy unit with only one guy As he was laying it in my living room he broke it and refused to take it They came a second time to exchange it and the second unit unit was also defective The driver refused to take it They told me they would exchange it on Tuesday and after I took the day off they called me and told me it would be Friday I canceled my entire order and I ll have to wait another week for them to take the broken piece of furniture from my living room

Terrible service very poor inventory control and quality

We found the showroom and inventory on display very attractive but did not find the sales associate to be engaged or knowledgeable We subsequently purchased a bedroom set a dining table and six chairs and a sideboard We later were told we could get the chairs in a couple weeks but it would be nearly two months for the table They wanted us to accept the chairs before the table but we deferred on them being delivered until the table could be delivered The sideboard was going to be delivered until it was noted on the loading dock that it was damaged and would not be available for several weeks as it was the last one in stock The nightstand that came with the bed was damaged as was the next two that were delivered as replacements We called repeatedly and no one would answer the phones at the store We complained about this to the manager when we cancelled the order for the table chairs and sideboard He checked into it and found the staff had turned down the volume on the phone ringer We have had two scheduled service calls for repairs to the nightstand where no one showed up and no call was received to say that our scheduled visits were cancelled This has been a terrible experience Still waiting for resolution of the nightstand issue and may need to just dispute the charge for it We will never shop here again
