Getting ready
I haven t been able to implement the training plan I ve opted for yet but I m building up to it whilst recovering from a significant respiratory illness by doing some of the replay strength and conditioning videos Also I m back on the NHS Couch to 5k programme so I feel ready for the Coach Parry plan Feeling supported and well guided so far and feel that this will be even more so when I really get going which hopefully will be next week

Enjoying my runs again
1 The strength program is already showing benefits with my knees 2 easy to use app and I am able to shift workouts about to suit schedule3 so different to the training plan I used to follow that focused on accumulative fatigue and no so much on Slow runs Really enjoying my running now

Smart Training
I recently started with the Coach Parry online program and I must say it feels like a game-changer so far I ve been overtraining and not recovering properly therefore always picking up niggles and some more serious injuries With this program I m training more intelligently Instead of mindlessly pushing myself I m learning to optimize my workouts The live strength training classes are not only helping me get stronger but are improving my mobility which isn t ideal Having access to the coaches for advice is invaluable Then there are the customizable training plans Too many good things to cover all of it I ll finish by saying the website interface is simple and easy to use Whether it s tracking my runs accessing videos or connecting with other runners everything feels seamless It s terrific I couldn t be happier

resources and videos are great app syncing is nearly seamless
resources and videos are great also love how the app functions very well with my Garmin Connect app for scheduling and hence my watch One minor thing is that some workout I sync from my Garmin Connect watch app to Training Tilt are immediately recognised as related to a specific training scheduled for that day e g specific scheduled training while other ones like strength are not I ve been manually entering in the time and have gaps with some HR details when I do so If you have a link for a solution to help me to get my strength training recognised please share it and i will try to solve this to save some time

An useful alternative to 1-on-1 coaching
The perfect hybrid between general training plans and 1-on-1 coaching The coaches respond quickly to issues raised on the forums even questions very specific to your training plan and the regular coach check in calls are great Plus you have running specific strength training either live or recorded It s a total running package

Feel welcomed into Coach Parry family
I joined up a couple of weeks before doing the Sunshine Coast 1 2 marathon and managed a few strength classes before the race last Sunday I was welcomed by Shona on that first strength class and then was able to meet her as she came out to Australia and participated in the 1 2 as well I m looking forward to choosing a training plan and thank all the coaches for your personal care and attention

Lots to do
Enjoying the different routines Although it s taken me a while to get to grips with the running workouts and strength exercises I prefer to exercise from a video rather than written instructions so happy that the videos are available A lot of detail for viewing on my phone at home so finding it clearer on my pc at work Running workouts I prefer verbal prompts so add these to the interval pro app that I use

Should have done something like this sooner
There is a great variety of training plans to choose from I personally have picked the over age 50 program to run a half marathon under 1 50 The plan is well balanced and designed to prevent over-training but at the same time be challenging I am 2 weeks into the 12 week plan have been doing the strength and core training always been something I meant to get around to and have learned the importance of foot core as well The online strength training video sessions are well run you get great real time feedback on technique and the individual exercises are well explained
