Just UK companies hiring within UK

It s mostly just UK companies hiring remotely within the UK So the fully remote sales line or branding that Cord wants to create is sadly not happening

Incompetent and Ridiculous

I applied for a position advertised on LinkedIn which required me to create a Cord account and which is supposed to extract details from my LinkedIn account CV I then received an automated email saying my profile was declined failed to be verified as it didn t meet the criteria despite being an experienced professional with an exceptionally strong background both in industry and academia based in the UK - 10 journal publications years of experience Ph D and post-doctoral experience This is my first experience of Cord and I am not impressed Update I have now deleted my account after receiving a decline to message a recruiter What an awful and pointless platform LinkedIn already has my details so it s redundant

Dead as a doornail No response from anyone There are hardly any new positions over time When a message is sent your profile can also be shared but then that is just about it Don t see the point in using Cord

Completely unsolicited email as others have mentioned clear breach of GDPR Have reported to the ICO and advise other UK residents to do so through the ICO website ICO make-a-complaint nuisance-calls-and-messages spam-emails report-spam-emailsPlease ignore any clearly false response by the company as privacy is quite clearly not a top concern of theirs

Clearly discriminated against me and others I would imagine For denied becoise they couldn t confirm my experience but provided no response to how or what they did to try to confirm it Did they call my employer Check references No they didn t do any of that

Kicked Off Platform For No Reason

Kicked me off the platform claiming that I used fake details to sign up without even questioning me first Have given me absolutely zero recourse to get my profile messages back and their support team haven t responded to any of my emails asking for help

Receiving email spam from these people trying to get me to sign up The mails contains no unsubscribe link or any way to get them to stop I ve blocked their domain name instead Completely unacceptable

Without any reference to anyone I started getting emails from Agnes Kalaw to join cord as a job search messaging tool Since I m not looking for a job they obviously stole or bulk purchased my personal email address

Proved no help at all in securing my new role The one company I was interested in simply denied my application with ZERO feedback and from that point you are not able to speak to them on cord I actually opened a dialog with one of the tech leads at the company via linked in who was very interested to speak to me so basically if the HR person on cord doesn t like you it s useless even if the people who actually know what they re talking about would want to speak to you
